A few questions...

I played through both EV and Override on an LCIII with 8MB ram, and ram doubler - painstakingly a lot of the time, especially in override where a few things even caused the game to crash :frown: - anyone else ever found that? Specifically: capturing a ship and using it as your own and attempting to recall any fighters to their bay.

Anyway, now I've changed to PC for cost reasons mainly, but find myself still wanting to play this masterpiece of architecture :).

Does anyone know about playing them on PC with a mac emulator? I read somewhere around that they do work, and imagine it can't be worse than LCIII performance.

Cheers!

Actually, there have been multiple duscussions on these boards regarding EV in PC Macintosh emulators. My favortie emulator to play EV/O is Fusion (http://emulators.com) but most people seem to like executor (http://www.ardi.com) if you do a search on these webboards, you'll probably find a tutorial on executor and comments about the PC emulators.

Try searching for "emulator"

I couldn't get exicutor to work.

Hmmm, doesn't sound too promising from what people have said - from the search. Might have to look into upgrading mac - surely EVO is reason enough :).

Actually, if you go to web links on the EVO page and click on "WWS" you find a complete setup guide for executor. It works fine on my PC but I still cant capture and use ships as my own. Also, there is no sound. But the gameplay is fluid and it only crashes about every four hours. Playing on a mac is better but definatly use executor if you dont own a mac.

LoL, cheers for that :). Oh well, certainly have had a lot of fun playing Age of Empires series online on it, but somehow that gets boring easily.. and override never did 🙂 - well except on those few occasions when I went Igadzra but could never find the A.S.S. ship they wanted me to kill....
