rooster: you don't just land on the enemy's homeworld like that. I think you should be able to know that you are on Voina, but not where on Voina, nor be able to rescue them with one ship.
------------------
Daedalus after hearing rumors of a portion of his fleet still being alive sends a message for them to go to Voinia for repairs and meet with Daedalus for a debriefing. The fleet cheers and soon 5 CW's enter the system. "Rubin, Oasa has provided me with credits, I purchased 20 freighters from UE trader shipyards. Escort them here. I am sending for cloaking devices from F-25, and the planet cloaking device. The shipment is escorted by a CW and an Igadrza. Hire some scoutships, I won't have a blind fleet."
------------------ ---------------------- "Better to remain silent and be thought an idiot, than to speak and remove all doubt."
Oasa, I have a gift for you. While defending my homeplanet my scientists made a breakthrough, a planet cloaking device. I give it to the Malcontent. Use it wisely, it is the only one in existence that I know of.
Rooster looks up at Oasa. He reaches up to his chest, declips his command insignia, and tosses it on the floor. "I don't really have a choice at all, do i Oasa? Throw your insignia upon the floor as well, and we will talk of this as men, not as leaders."
(I am currently compiling a map of our positions so we can better plan moves)
------------------ It is not fear that will destroy you, but the absence of it.
"Very well, Rooster. What have you to say?"
"Your ultimatum is thin. I would be much more at peace in death than in monitored life within your walls. I leave you to decide our fate...or is death too much to hold upon your head?"
"Then you will die, rooster, and the Corocian Alliance will be quickly notified. Do not worry; it will not be a painful death - you will be shot in your sleep."*
Allow me 12 days to meditate in Coroco's name before my passing, as i have allowed you to choose my fate. I beg of you.
Daedalus enters the Interrogation room from the recording room. "Sir, are you sure this is the right choice, do we want to anger his allies anymore than they already are? I think that it would be wise to keep him in captivity. Think of the ruthless vengence that would be evoked if we were to kill him."
------------------ ---------------------- Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Oasa takes rooster aside, and says to him, "but if he lives, then they will surely mount an attack on Voina to recover him. Better to kill him and lure the Corocians into a trap."
Oasa then returns to rooster, and tells him, "12 days is far too long to meditate. Your friends are surely readying a rescue attempt already. Four days you shall have, no more. Your accomodations shall be underground, but other than that, anything you desire. Two hundred guards will escort you at all times. The gate to your residence will be secured. In the event a rescue attempt is made, you will be immediately killed."

Thank you, your generousity has been noted. Rooster goes to his estate and in truth, meditates. He speaks: "A ca fara pultaqui corocijak, a proxai peria e fina!" The guards look at each other with disbelief.
I have posted a map of this timeline. Enjoy! (url="http://"http://www.roostermac.net/corocianmap.gif")http://www.roosterma...corocianmap.gif(/url)
Wait, I'm on Sol.
Buba is met by Admiral McPherson as he lands his ship on Earth. "Buba," says the Admiral looking worried, "What is it?" Buba: "It's the Voinians, under Oasa's control they have captured my good friend Rooster, a great navel commander and an important part to the Corocian Alliance. Oasa is planning his death and we must save him." Admiral: "Is one man's life worth that much?" Buba: "It is not only a man's life. With the destruction of Rooster will also come the destruction to the Corocian Alliance and the rise of Voinians. We need your help." The Admiral sighs, "Buba, I will help you. What is it that you need?" Buba: "Come quickly Admiral, we must talk in privacy."
NOTE: Oasa, please don't kill Rooster right away. I might not be able to reply often so please let me try to save him.
------------------ "I'll get the brute squad!" "I'm on the brute squad." "You ARE the brute squad!"
"Then kill him, but I wish to have command of his security. He is not without his wits. Escaping from 200 voinians can be easier than escaping from 10."
"I also came to tell you, I have put together a small fleet to service the Malcontent. 20 Freighters, 4 CW's and one Igadzra at your disposal. The fifth CW is my new ship Apollo's Arrow. It was just manufactered at F-25 and is highly upgraded. A beautiful ship, it is painted silver, and the way the sun reflects off it... never mind, anyway congatulations on the Malcontent, if galactic domination is your plan, then I am with you."
Buba, you can command McPherson to help! Your the president of the Corocian Alliance in my absence. McPherson is a Corocian officer. Sol is a Corocian system. Why don't ya look at my map? Allow me to speak again upon the last minutes before i die, Oasa. (not a request, it's kind of a thread rule)
Very well. Rooster is in your hands. If the need be, you may kill him. I must go now to the Malcontent and install this most wonderful planet-cloaking device. I will be back in a week with the Malcontent, your fleet, and mine. Until then, you are in command of Rooster. Don't tell him anything he doesn't need to know.
Oasa, please get that image tag off of your "from" entry. It doesn't accept them, and it's stretching out the tables in the thread.
it was only there for about 2 secs until I saw the problem - but the database is slower than the human in noticing changes. It's better now.

A Voinian Supply ship jumps into the Romit system for a routine cargo run, "Request for landing permision." Romit: "Permission Granted" The Voinian ship began to slowly move towards the system. All of a sudden a large mass of ships appeared on the Voinian's system map. "What the?" The fleet of 20 or so ships began to open fire destroying any Voinian ship that stood in it's path. The ships slowly moved towards Romit. Fleet: "Surrender now or be terminated."
An hour later: A Voinian Supply ship jumps into the Romit system for a routine cargo run, "Request for landing permision." Romit: "Permision denied. Prepare to be destroyed."
OK.
CONTINUATION: Rooster: "My death is imminent is it not, Oasa?" They had met at the estate on his last night. Oasa: "It is true." Rooster: "If i chose to live, could i not work on an Oasan ship? Please, starship work is all i know! I couldn't live as anything else!" Daedalus sits to listen to Rooster as he walks through. Rooster: "I could not sabotage you. I need no access code, i can work at an engineering station, or operations termi--" Oasa stops Rooster to answer his pleads....
No. My ruling is clear. You will die. What reason do I have to trust you in any position? You are a dedicated leader of a dedicated empire. You would not switch sides so easily. And if you did, what could I do to stop you from escaping, or sabotaging my plan? You must die; there is no choice. Enjoy your final hours, rooster.
