Page Six, Post #200:
The Emalgha warship, Saratoga, and 2 CWs were all that was left, heavily damaged. The Emalgha warship ruptured and it's dense hull burst upon falling to the Dreadnought's shields. The dreadnought's similar hull structure folded under the impact and the decks began to compact, ripping corridors apart. The Saratoga was hit with a neutron blast and it's hull also breached as Rooster's escape pod was picked up by the Oasans as they had gotten Miranu's before. Buba had, before the battle, transferred to a CW. This warship escaped through the laser fire towards the Carnotaurian fleet just beyond the system, not knowing if it meant death, or salvation....

As Buba's CW entered the system he was met by a wild dogfight. The remnants of the Renegade fleet had been on stand-by when they encountered the Carnotaurian fleet and flew into a mad rage remembering the destruction from the fleet at F-25. After taking notice of the damaged CW entering from Tientu, both fleets hailed it for identification, curious as to the outcome of the battle.
------------------ ---------------------- "Better to remain silent and be thought an idiot, than to speak and remove all doubt."
Buba's sensors did not read the ships more than to know they were there. He suspected all to be Carno's so he transmitted. "All subspace bands, this is the Warship Daemon Gara of the Corocian Alliance. We need immediate assistance." The message repeated several times....
The Malcontent was a day away from completion. She was a beautiful ship*. Deep in the planet's core was a million cubic kilometre excavation - this would serve as a fuel tank and reactor. The Malcontent would have a range of seventy jumps without refueling. Also buried deep inside the planet was the command center. Hundreds of banks of redundant supercomputers controlled every action of the planet. Hundreds more served as firewalls and comm relays. On the other side of the Malcontent, buried ten miles down, were the barracks. There was living space for one million heavily armed shock troops, and enough weaponry to arm them all.
The Malcontent's surface was not one of beauty, but of power. Every kilometre was a shield generator and projector. Combined, the Malcontent would have over one million resedit shields. To truly break through the shields, an enemy would have to disable or destroy each generator. Twenty huge engines powered the planet, with a second redundant set concealed in mountains on the other side of the planet. The Malcontent bristled with tens of thousands of neutron turrets, each with a separate anti-personnel/vehicle ion cannon. Rocket launchers with hundreds of rockets each were emplaced on mountaintops. Anti-EMP technology was concealed in valleys.
The Malcontent, even in her uncompleted state, was a formidable weapon of terror. All that remained before she could be launched was the final thousand men to complete the crew complement.
---
The fake dreadnaught in Cthlus, meanwhile, was in shaky but operable condition. Due to the battle raging around it, it would only be able to sustain power for another week. But no matter; the Malcontent was almost completed and there would soon be no need to continue the web of deception...

The Renegade CW's led by the Devious Rubin (loyal second in command to Daedalus), respond saying that they are the Carnotaurian fleet. Igadrazs are left behind as the CW's go to "aid " Buba's ship.
"Buba, lower your shields so that we may transfer your wounded, your crew can come onto my ship the RAS Avenger and we will transport you to sol.
MODERATION: The Malcontent is much too powerful for it's construction time and resources. I see no way that any Voinian would allocate that many men to you (and how they even could) after you lost Admiral Borb. Shield generators at so many points would require a much too powerful power matrix and capacity. It is not physically possible. Please present another compilation for this ship.
CONTINUATION: Buba: "We don't need to lower the shields. This ship was one of the two that were not refitted with different shield signatures after your supposed defection from the Alliance. You can just send a transport drone through, since your ships are equipped with the same signature. We must avoid being fired upon at all costs." Buba seemed to, without knowing it, avoid sure destruction...
Downgrade the malcontent to a small moon.
Continuation: Daedalus awakened from a deep slumber still in the escape pod. He sent this message to Oasa: "Please assist, am orbiting in Cthlus system in escape pod. Corocian fleet is scattered. I require medical treatment. Look forward to your new weapon."
--------------- Rubin: "Bubba transport is on its way. It is big so that all of your wounded can be transfered at once." A large transport docks with Buba's ship. As the doors open, out rush hundred's of renegade marines. They meet little resistance as they make their way to the bridge and capture Buba." While the marines are bringing tthe prisoners to the transport the Renegade fleet leaves to defend the operation from the real Carnotaurian fleet.

Revised Malcontent: (same general idea) -same phsysical size, but only a hundred thousand troops, half the shield density
An inconspicuous trading convoy jumped into Cthlus. Nonchalantly they changed their vector to the drifting escape pod and picked it up. Quickly they jumped back to Voina, where Daedelus disembarked and...
------------------
I don't think you understood, Daedalus. The Daemon Gara 's shields could have only been passed by a Carnotaurian ship. Buba said that thinking you were Carno. I'm afraid i have to revoke your timeline. Carno, please do something (if you even want to) before Rubin can disable the Daemon Gara....
Uh... nevermind:
Buba wonders why the fleet's ships pause before attempting to board his ship. Getting an idea he starts to thrust his ship towards one of the ships. The proximity signal flared on his screen: "Proximity Alert: 100 feet..." Buba: "But don't the shield signatures match?" Comp: "Negative. Negative. Shield signatures different. Alert, Alert!" Quickly Buba pulled away: "Uh... Captain. I'm ganna uh... go assist Rooster and try to recapture him. Follow at will, we could use your help." Buba quickly sets in his hyperspace coordinates for Sol and quickly calls UE. "Admiral, we have a problem..."
------------------ "I'll get the brute squad!" "I'm on the brute squad." "You ARE the brute squad!"

Daedalus purchased a small voinian fighter and made his way to sol where he picked up a much speedier scoutship.
Message do Oasa:"Thanks for the lift. Tell the Voinians they should work on there medical facilities a little bit. The flies gathered around the Voinian in the next bed over kept me awake at night. I will be on my new base on F-25. The Renegade alliance has broken into fighting over who gets the wealth. They will leave me alone but we can't expect much more help from them. They are greatly weakened by the UE in the south tip."
Daedalus continues on to the beautiful oceans of F-25 where he takes a much needed rest. He also admires is new scare on his right cheek. "Makes me look like a real warrior," he thought to himself.
Rubin, taken off gaurd once again disengages from the Carnotaurian fleet and in a blind fury begins chasing Buba's ship, oblivous to what dangers he may be leading his fleet to.
Wait Earth belongs to the Voinians? Then the last part of my post goes blah...
Now it seems like Sol belongs to the UE... I'm confused!
timeline revoked, daedelus. --- As soon as Daedelus recovers on Voina, Oasa himself comes in to see him. "That was a most marvelous defense you planned, Daedelus. It's too bad we were so outnumbered, or the battle could have been won. But no matter; you accomplished what needed to be accomplished. The Corocians think we plan to launch a new dreadnaught."
"Think? Then what is it?"
"You bring me to my point, Daedelus. Will you join the Voinan military as my second-in-command? All will be revealed..."
CLARIFICATION: You aren't the Voinian military, Oasa. The UE controls all of the original area (no frontier). And Oasa, i decide what posts are revoked :)! Um....timeline revoked daedalus...
Rooster and Miranu regain consciousness bound on the floor of some building on Voinia before Oasa himself. For the first time Rooster admires the strong Voinian build and battle-made face of his enemy. Oasa merely watches both stand and face him. The floors are black and sleek, the walls are red and wavy. Miranu thinks this MUST be the High Command of the Oasans, however still doesn't know where this is. Oasa opens his mouth to speak....
rooster... I was not present at Cthlus' defense. I was finishing the Malcontent. However, you have been captured and are on Voina now, so just edit your post slightly.
"Yes, Oasa, I will join you. I have lost everything today, my ship, my friends, my fleet. It would be an honor to become a member of the mighty Voinian empire. Provide me with a ship and I can perform any service you need. I wish to avenge myself against the emphalgia." I leave my next move up to you Oasa. ------------------ ---------------------- "Better to remain silent and be thought an idiot, than to speak and remove all doubt."
Buba's ship enters the Cthlus system and picks up 18 remaining escape pods (the others had been recieved by Corocian Damage Control). He finds his revised docking assembly intact and puts it in the bay. The ship continues on it's way to Voinia, expecting to inquire with the Voinians, but finds Rooster and Miranu's signatures on the planet. He brings the ship down into the atmosphere and maneuvers into a convoy of fellow CWs to avoid sighting. He pinpoints the location and transmits to the Corocian base on Emalgha, where the Ursla Fleet and Triside Task Force (of Triside Station) were grouped....
rooster: I AM the Voinan military now that Borb is dead/torchored/imprisoned somewhere now...
Come now Daedelus, and join me as we finally come face to face with RoosterSW. I have been waiting for this moment for the longest time.
Oasa and Daedelus entered the holding chamber where rooster and miranu were restrained. Both prisoners fearfully waiting for Oasa to move.
"It is my honor to finally meet with you, rooster. You are a tactician rivaled by none. Even that, however, couldn't save you from a hull breach I suppose, hm?"
"You are probably wondering why we went to the effort of building a second dreadnaught, after the failure of the first. I will tell you why. That was no dreadnaught. There was no research base. There was no planet in Cthlus."
Rooster, flabbergasted, remained silent.
"I am surprised your alliance has not yet realized its peril. For the danger is great indeed. Let me tell to you a story. For the past three months, using highly classified technology which I dare not reveal to you, the planet of Cthlus has been converted into a massive warship. Yes, the whole planet. When the Voinans learned of your attack on Svass, Cthlus left Cthlus for a safer system. It has hyperspace engines. What you have attacked and not even destroyed was a hologram, left to deceive you. And now it is too late. Cthlus, now known as the Malcontent, is fully operational. It has enough advanced weaponry to raze an unwitting planet within a day."
Rooster suddenly paled.
"I give you and Miranu a choice today. You can either be killed painlessly and quickly, or detained indefinitely. Your accomodations will not be prisonlike at all; on the contrary. We treat enemy leaders with the same respect as our own. If you choose containment, you will live a safe, happy life, but you will have no way to escape, no way to communicate with your alliance, no weaponry, and will be under guard at all times. You will be a civilian again; albeit one who is very important. I will give you one day to decide."
"Follow me, Daedelus, we have a galaxy to conquer." With those words, Oasa left Rooster with his thoughts and two hundred heavily armed guards.
