When this is on, does it affect gameplay at all other than when you press 0? In other words, is there any advantage or disadvantage to using it (other than pressing 0 for a place to save, of course)?

None whatsoever. It's just a fun little toy. For a real demo of what a plugin can do, I suggest downloading Trinity.

Well, I didn't appreciate the techno-plug-in at first, b ut now that I have found my way to the reef, with all those little nasty guys that can kill me if they gang up, I found with a little help from this board, that I can go into the techno-plu-in, raise my little tent, and have a nice nap.
After this, all my strength (hit-points) are restored, and I can go out and fight again, saving my precious potions in case I get into a really big mess!
What a great game! Now, if there were only a potion for my aching wrist! ((the left one)) from all the battles... get busy on that one, guys, and you really will have a "cash cow"!!!
