Are you sure EVO doesn't? It works fine on my Performa 630 with 8MB RAM. Just use virtual memory, it kills the loading time but the game speed is unaffected.

I'm sitting at a Pentium 4 rig right now, but I bet most of you would tell me to use the Performa instead.
My plugin builder is EV-Edit 1.4b5. it works like a charm when it comes to ships, weapons, systems, planets, outfits... jus about anything. It can even open other plugins to see what thay are like. the list goes on : ) still i CAN'T FIND ANOTHER PLUGIN BUILDER!!!!!! :mad: Also another problem is i can't find EVO or EVN.

Actually, I did just install it on the Centris. It is amazingly slow, but it is cool.

The other editor is ResEdit. It is much better than EV-Edit, trust me, I used a lot before I knew how to use ResEdit.

Don't bother using EV-edit. It is just a cool concept that doesn't work that well. Generally I use a combination of EVO Devolopers map, Mission computer, ship write or the docks, EVO god or EV-edit for geting dificult resorce ID's and of course Res edit. Together its like having one big super editor, someday I'll have to really merge those programs to make one.

I haven't played EV in absolutely ages, but utter boredom led me to downloading Brotherhood of the Kestrel, and giving it a go. Usually I can't stand the horrific combination of so many different ship styles pinched from various websites which always seem to be a feature of Tim's plugs, but once I got over that I found it was an exceedingly good plugin, and I think I'm hooked in EV again

I always honered him for that. you got to admit that he is brave to attempt a TC with nothing but Free shipyard ships. Somebody should do a TC using the ships from Onyx's shipyard.

I downloaded all the ships from onyx's ship yard, I am currentley playing around with them, but I have never made a plug-in, and it may be a while before I ever actually get to work and make one. I wonder why no one has used them yet, they look really cool. The only problem is that most of the ships are really small, which is okay for fighters, but I like my big ships BIG.

so make em big. Its really easy to increase a ships size in photoshop. Its even easier to decrease their size. You could use the Confed cruiser as a fighter, or the Confed Fighter as a frigate (It would have slightly blurry edges though.) Hey, there's an idea. Kauthor, if you ever make another EV plug like ROP or Empire why don't you do that. It would add some extra variety to your ships.
I've tried changing ship sizes before, but I always seem to get a small peice of color around the edges of the ship.

The pixel sizes of the x and y axes have to be in multiples of 8 for that to not happen.
