and i have one question
is there a utility that has a list of all the ID's for everything in EVN?
Umm.. No. I don't think so, anyway. But, you can use MissionComputer or some other editor (Resedit with Novatools for Macs, or EVNEW for Windows), to look at the ID's/Names/other in the data files, whivh I'm pretty sure is the equivalent to what you want.
Hope this helps...

Look in the Add-On files area, there are several spreadsheets with that information in there.
ResEdit, NovaTools and MissionComputer found in EV-Nova.net. I don't know if EVNEW is in there but i found it from here.
Zealot, he was actually asking if there was a universal list of resourse ID's so that he doesn't have to sift through the data files to find just one.
TheKatz, thanks for posting this question. I never really cared enough to ask, but you've saved me a lot of time sifting aimlessly through the nova files.
