The ability to show the percentage of armor remaining in leiu (sp?) of simply "Shields Down" is a new feature in 1.0.2 -- I'm surprised no one has done this.
So I created a little plug-in that does just that. This is great for fighting Voinian ships; you'll now have an idea of just when they'll finally blow up. In the interest of consistency, all ships can display armor percentage, not just Voinians/Hinwar.
Well, maybe someone has done this, but it's not in the Add-Ons section, as far as I can tell. It's a pretty simple plug, but very useful.
As you can imagine, this plug is compatible with any plug that doesn't change around the ships.

Where do you find this plug?
You do realize that you'd have to change the desc for the Voinian Dreadnaught mission, since it refers to the fact that UE Sensors aren't able to accurately determine the strength of voinian armor. If you didn't, you'd have a major inconsistency. (okay, maybe not major, but still, it would be noticable)

(Insert witty remark here)
There's a plugin called "Armor Display" bundled with Extra Outfits 1.2, it displays the armor for Voinian ships.

Augh! A dilemma! Whether to change the dësc or uphold the principals of the mission and retain the original Drednought -- the one ship this plug is practically meant for!
I'll need voter opinion. (Those of you who have the knowledge to delete a shďp resource from a plug need not apply. )
I approved your plug, so its now in the addon's section. As for the dreadnaught, the whole point is you don't know when it will die. So don't modify it.
I agree. The Dreadnaught is supposed to be a really threatening, imposing ship. Since it is stated in the descs, it's all right to exclude this in the armor readings. My vote goes to lead the Dread as is.

Maybe the device which detects armour condition could be tied in to a mission bit, such that it happens to be developed late in the Voinian war? Too late to be of use against the prototype or invasion dreadnoughts. It would then be available for sale, at Paaren station?
Hell, if you were feeling energetic, you could create a new mission string, describing how the experts for the system are gathered together, materials obtained, and the device tested.
If it's to be an outfit, I'd be happy to do a graphic for it.
Alright, it looks like a lot of you want to retain the "surprise factor." I've uploaded another plug (DispArmorPercents2.sit) which does just that. As for the whole mission string thing, I'll leave that up to another aspiring plug-in maker. (I'm awful busy.)
Other than the lack of Dreadnought-armor-displayingness, there's no difference between the two.
It should be in the Add-Ons section shortly.
It's too bad the Dreadnought isn't actually threatening...
The Dreadnaught isn't scary to my in my Emalgha Freighter the Winston Churchill, I am Galactic scourage on vionia anyway, but a honored leader on Emalgha!!!!! ROCK ON EMALGHA!
Microsoft Works is a oxymoron
Hey Chamrin. Last time I uploaded my EVO Fixer plug you classified it as a cheat which I explicitly pointed out it was not, now the damn thing has disapeared from the site altogether. Whats up with that? I'll submit the new version soon anyway, it includes the aforementioned armor display for the Voinian ships as well as something for the turrets......
