I've always played EVO the "good guy" way, but this time I want to stir up some trouble. Is it possible to "join up" with the renegades, or will I just have to pirate on my own and constantly bribe my way onto renegade worlds? If I defend myself from renegades in a renegade system, will that decrease my odds of joining, or do renegades simply not care? Are there any cool renegade missions, besides the occasional Stellar Corp smuggling runs? (a yes or no answer to that last question is fine; I don't want any plot surprises spoiled for me).
I guess my main question is - how do I get started? Thanks, everyone.

The Saalia stuff is just repeating missions as far as I know. Paint the map red. There are a couple of pirate threads for you to find. Human: south. Alien: way north. As a good pirate you should be drinking too much For more clues you only gotta ask.

Yes, there are two renegade mission strings.
You don't start the mission strings on the renegade planets, though. Earn your self a bit of a reputation first, and then try hanging out in bars on some of your victims' worlds, near renegade space.

Isn't that what I said? Well, no matter.
