I'm listing the guns first and then the ships. So the guns I'm listing there usefulness on a 1 to 10 scale of speed, shields and armor not just there power. So for those wondering what to use for certain situations read.
Blaze Cannons/Turrets Speed 9-10, Shields 5, Armor 6 Useful all around and ok vs Voinians
Neutron Cannons/Turrets Speed 7, Shields 7, Armor 7 Better than blaze and really good vs Voinians and ok vs crescent
Phase Blasters/Turrets Speed 8-9, Shields 10, Armor 3 Great vs Shields, Crescent and ok vs Humans
Emalghia Cannons/turrets Speed 6, Shields 3, Armor 10 Voinian K.I.L.L.E.R!!
UE Cruiser vs the Twinkie mobile ship. Well here is how it goes. The UE Cruiser is the perfect warship for conquering the Crescent. With its high armor and a quick buy of dospect armor along with your descent shields you'd kick ass and take names vs any Crescent aliens and do alright vs the Voinians because of your shielding and ability to hold neutron weapons. The Cons are it takes 3 hyper space days and has little speed and turn. So its only good for being a big pirate or 100% Warship (Killing for fun but no missions with a time limit)
The big yellow twinkie warship (Igdraza Warship). It has the highest shields in the game by far. 200 more than the UE cruiser so it would do about the same vs the voinians except it can't hold the neutron weapons so you'd have to stick with blaze weapons to do any real damage. Its Pros are its fast, 1 hyper jump day, can tear through alien ships with its large gun array. So overall its good for Crescent missions, has a bit of time vs voinians but can take the timed missions and a descnet cargo any day.
The Wrap up
UE Cruiser , Big, Slow, Ultra Powerfull, Crescent/Voinian conquer and a great Renegade ship.
Twinkie, Big, Fast, 2nd most Powerfull, All around Conquer and perfect for missions and cargo carrying.
So its a choice between a Raider and a Patriot. You decide.

Interesting analysis of the ships, but you made one mistake: the Igazra takes at least 2 days for each Hyperspace Jump (as do all ships that show up as large dots on the radar w/density scanner) Basically, anything larger than a Lazira or Zidara takes more than one day to jump.

Actually, I've found that the best ship for conquering the crescent is a Voinian Cruiser with phase turrets, defence pods, RCS, thrust, engine, and azdgari upgrades, four shield enhancers, and the two shield rechargers.

actually, if you look in ev edit...phase do less dmg to sheilds than neutrons do. they only fire faster.
OH Also, I just play a whole lot so I'm rating this on my personal findings not on any game statistics. I tried playing as a voinian and the missions stop fast because they hate you, so after your done with them all you can do is crush the crescent with your voinian ship (kinda boring).
