What I think needs to be improved, and maybe should be considered for EV3, is some sort of improvement for the endgame. I find that once I have the most powerful ship in the game, the game's difficulty level drops incredibly. This is especially the case when you have a ship with a large crew and you have a massive fleet. Then there's also the case of what to do when all the main mission strands have been completed. After that, the game slows incredibly. Yes, you can go off and conquer the galaxy and make millions, but what's the point if you have nothing new to buy. I'm just curious about what all your thoughts are on this.
I personally think maybe having some sort of random mission generator, where in the mďsn resource there would be a couple stencil missions, or maybe some other implementation where the game could generate missions. This would probably be more difficult than necessary, but it's a start. By the way, I think modification to the combat rating is in order. I find that I get to Ultimate too quickly. Maybe add more levels, or spread out the barriers, or I think the source of my rapid shot up the ratings was becuase I got lucky with my escorts. (It's easy to have a nice rating when you're an Arada with 2 Voinian Frigate escorts). Anyways, just some ideas I thought I'd throw out.

The random missions thing is already in EVO. All you do is change starting points, Travel stellar, Return Stellar. Obviously the text can't be choosen by the comp tho

Well, that's what plugs are for. They keep the game interesting after you've bumbled through the original missions and such. Just putter through the add-on files and find a couple plugs to play.
The only problem is that you often have to start your pilot over again.
