I was wondering what everybodies favorite strand is. My personal fav is the Adzgari. They kick-*** in 1.0.0, 1.0.1, and 1.0.2. Does anyone like the Igadzra? I think they were okay in 1.0.0, and 1.0.1, but in 1.0.2, I saw 3 Igadzra Aradas get killed by an Azdara. The Zidagar were the worst until 1.0.2, now they outpower, out jam, and out number everyone else. So, which would you rather have on your side?

I also like the Azdagari, cause it's the most profitable. No, I don't mean the missions (although they do pay pretty decently), I mean disabling Zidagar and Igadzra ships and boarding them. Azdagari ships are much harder to disable (actually impossible with the Azdari (sp?)), and the loot levels are lower than those of the Zidagar. Igazras are well worth disabling if you can, with upwards of 600,000 credits a ship! I make a large portion of my money from this at about the point of the game where I choose my side in the Strand war, so it's nice to be Azdagari.
I haven't tried allying with the Zidagar in 1.0.2, so I couldn't say how much better it is now, but I do know that before the Phase Beam was fixed, they were so worthless in battle it wasn't even funny. In fact it was irritating as hell, because it left almost all the fighting to you.

I've tried playing with the Zidagar, and the phase-beams are sweeeet. The problem is, the AI is still as stupid, so they get killed quick. What happens is, 3 Zidaras will try to kill an Igazra, and fail horribly. Then, 3 more Zidaras will try, and again fail horribly, however, the Igazra is now really weak, and easy pickins as long as you keep your distance.
I love the Azdgari!! Their ships are cool, they're very maneuverable, and it's just plain fun being on their side! Now, I do like the Zidagar a bit, but mainly because they're less apt to shoot you. I hate the Idagzra's guts! Their ships are UGLY, and they almost always shoot you. I just wish their was a way to get the Azdgari warship, it is powerful! I thought about making a plug that would do that, but I'm not sure, can't get the shipyard PICTs I need for it. But then again I could just use the comm PICTs...
