Being a trader rules!

Hi,
To everyone that is new to EVO or have started a new pilot, I´ve found a VERY good trade route:
1.Buy food at Centauri (First Centauri).
2.Go to the Liat system and sell all the food at Atlantic Station.
3.Before you leave, buy as many Fertelisers as possible.
4.Go back to First Centauri and sell them there.
5.Repeat.

This is a VERY secure and easy trade route, and you make money quite fast. It´s also only 2jumps(one way). Cheers.

dude, try buying food at first centauri, and selling at earth. buy equitment (i think) and sell at first centauri. its shorter route... and pretty good.

I still haven't found anything quicker than this...
Buy medical goods at Paaren, sell at New Delhi (name? the leper colony), skip over to new Tokyo, buy lux goods, sell at Paaren. It helps to fly a freighter with afterburners and to turn up the game speed. Hire a large freighter every 180,000 credits. When you have a full fleet, you'll earn around 1M credits per run. Fire the freighters when you have five or six million (or more!), then buy a decent ship and go have fun. You can do this first thing in the game, so you can save a rich starter pilot for later use without completing any missions.

I have something that is not nessicarily(sp?) quick but it is EXTREMELY profitable 🆒 You first need to go to Himrogo in the Miranu inner systems. Once there, you will need to have at least 5 million. This is so you will not run out of money. You REALLY do not want to lose your cargo on these runs. You need to hire six Miranu Heavy Freigters. Then load up on medical. You will have at least 3000 tons of it plus whatever your own ship can carry. You go from Himrogo to Dewe. While on the planet(Munb?) sell all of your medical and buy munb leaves. Then head back to Himrogo to sell the leaves and buy medical...I am not positive how much you make per run...I will post the numbers as soon as I can. I do know that you will end up paying somewhere around 490,000 fore escorts if you have a ship that jumps in one day. I'll try and get those numbers...cya all till then 😄

Well, I posted this route in purpose of helping newbies to the game, not the ones that got 5mill. For the Centauri-earth run, you don´t make as much money on that one (I think). Note that this is a safe route, and easy...pefect for the newbie.

Okay, THE most proffitable thing. Get your ship and go to sallia. Drink brandy till the people going to munb and centauri have at least 10million credits. Raid them and steel their credits. let them go. Go back to saalia while they regain their money. Raid them again.

Seriously though, i find eVo isn't about what ship you have at all. It's about what your doing and how much fun you have. This might sound stuid, but whats the fun in flying around trading your whole life? My advice: Become a pirate.

No, I didn´t mean it that way. I too think it´s boring only flying around and trade, but it´s a good start! Becoming a pirate isn´t a good advice for newbies, they should probably start out as traders or just do some simple deliver missions and follow the story line. I didn´t mean that they should, but it´s the easiest way. Being a pirate I´nt all that fun, they lack a long story line(most of the time), and you won´t complete ant central objectives with them. What do you do when there arn´t any missions left to do for them, and you are enemie with every one, they don´t give you any ship or outfit either. So I wouldn´t become a pirate if I was a newbie. Difficult start too. Cya all.

If you are a newbie to the game, start out by going to the bar at earth to get UE missions. Then you get rush deliveries for 12,000 credits in friendly space. I also recomend going to Mira (homeworld for the Miranu) to establish a trade route. This is nice to get about 20,000 credits to ferry some passengers to a new world. Plus, it opens up new ways of living in EVO, and you won't get lost if you have a mission in new space. Don't side with anyone until you have a hefty amount of credits (2m is fine) and a good ship (UE destroyer is probably a good one to start out with). Don't become a full time trader. You'll get tons of cash but it gets really boring. Remember, have fun!

Yes, fulltime trading IS boring. But a little can be fun, and very rewarding.

I LIKE flying around and trading!!! I'm the ultimate space merchant! 🆒 Exploring and trading are what I like best about the game, and the non-combat missions are also a real plus! just becasue you find something boring doesn't mean everyone does. 🙂

Yes, I take it back, I think it would be fun to trade full time for a change. I will probably do so IF I can recover my pilot file (please help me). What ship do you think is the best trading ship? FE?

The best trading ship? Easily the Miranu freighter. Not the heavy one but the normal one. You have to upgrade it though. It can have three turrets, all from the same spot so it's really accurate. And it has I think the 3rd largest cargo bay. A Miranu courier can be fun also. The freighter can take on i think 2 Freight-couriers and win. Tell you what i did once, i got a Miranu H. Freighter and got an emelgha warship upgrade (Freighter to warship) then gave it a fighter bay (Azdara) with turning upgrades (hey i had a lot of money, and nothing else to do) and speed things. Got rid of the defence system and gave it pursiut missiles and i still had about 350 tonnes left. Try it.

Now, that sounds cool! There you have a good freighter that can defend itself! And if you need more space, the you can use those 50,000 space converter outfit thingies. Do you still use it, or have you bought another ship? If, what ship?

I have a souped up Arada called L'Astronef Marchand (Merchant Starship) that I was using in 1.0.1, but in 1.0.2, I'm still using the almost worthless shuttle until I have enough cash to buy what I want.

I used the shuttle till I had about 1.30mill, using the trade route in my first post. Then I bought the FE, wich I still use. I consider buying a Turncoat or Miruana/Miranu courier. The turncoat seems much better in 1.0.2, becouse the kraits are much better. This also makes the UE Carrier a good ship. Escorts in 1.0.1 was useless.
