I have one Request for 1.0.2

As a plug maker, the one thing which hurts EV/O the most is the maximums (i.e max number of ships, weapons, outfits, etc.)

If the max numbers could be increased to a very high munber (say, 9999) that would make things much, much more interseting.

BTW: I love how 1.0.2 sounds.

I agree, though as I said before the max ships (without pict adjustments) would be 99. Plus, you can't have that high amount of spins because if I understand it correctly, spins are dumped into the memory; too many would just require too much memory.

Since we're all making random un-feasible requests, here are a few things I thought of..
-Shield Draining Beam weapons, that take their power and put it into your shields. This would kick ass, though should be heavily fuel draining. It'd probably make combat way easier, though.
-Suns for every system.
Every system could have a field for "star" or "no star," while not taking up a spob slot. Say for example, you had an abandoned system, no planets, you could select for no star. In habitable worlds, you could choose between one of (a certain number) of pre-designed stars. One of each major kind- Gas Giant, middle-life, black dwarf, etc.
-An outfit that allows you to escape into a pilotable escape pod after destruction (though I'm definitely dreaming on this one.. 🙂 )
-A përs flag that has a ship beg you for fuel(and you can actually refuse or accept their offer)
-The ability for a planet's landing picture to be a möov.
-More mďsn ship slots, with objectives and STR capabilities in names. This would add incredible new depth to EVO missions.. For example, you have to escort ship group 1 to a planet, observe mysterious ship 2 en route, destroy ship 3 in orbit with the help of ship 4.

Theoretically, you can make the escape pod pilotable, and even make it have weapons (not sure whether they would work, though). You just have to edit ship resource 190. That would work, right?

It seems to me that suns should be relatively easy to add. In fact, we could do it now, unless, you're talking about hot suns that would actually damage the player. Anyway, you could just add a sun graphic to every system. A slightly higher limit on spöbs in a system would this easier.

A functioning escape pod would be great, no question about it.

Again with the fuel requiring përs, this is easy to do with Override right now. Just make a couple of missions which are always available at low likelihoods from many or all përs.

Unfortunately, it seems to me that the Möov resource is used so infrequently already, it would be a waste of time and effort to expand its presence in the game. Making them is just too time intensive.

I like your ideas for additions to the mission resource, though.

I understand the concept of adding suns(having done three plugs: F-25, Reign I and Reign II)- of course it would be easy to do currently, but it would waste one of four spob spots, something that would be annoying for every system, especially ones that need four ports.

I was actually thinking more in terms of the "Demand More" buttons already in EVO but never implemented. Again, it is probably possible to some degree, though giving a përs fuel would look rather odd, and appear more of a "rescue." Considering it, I think the additions in 1.0.2 will allow you to do something closer to this.

The möov resource was a stretch as well, I meant it more as maybe a select important planet or two.. a flythrough of a city, or something.

And no, no matter how much you mess with ship 191, it won't make it pilotable, by the pilot or the computer. It'll simply act like the escape pod AI (AI type zero) and fly in a straight direction away. You could put the UE Cruiser in the spot and it would appear out of the exploding ship and still just fly straight away. It's debatable that this is the same AI used for asteroids..
