I succeeded in using a gamepad (ishock II) to play PoG under OS X and it worked perfectly. It was achieved using a little shareware called: GamePad Companion 1. It still needs a lot of improvements but it's a very good start. Nope, sorry, this is a OS X only program. Did'nt knew you could'nt use Gamepad in OS 8. hmmm...
