Hey Matt Burch (not some silly feature request)...

<font color="#11BBFF">I noticed that when you change the game speed, it affects how far your forward firing weapons go (not sure about others.) This is particurally annoying when you slow the game down to get a better edge in combat with a fighter, which mainly use forward firing weapons.

So is this a bug or was it made that way to prevent people in incredible fast fighters from slowing the game down to like 50% and have a big advantage over slow ships? If it is just a bug, can it be fixed in 1.0.2?

Thanks for your time,

the fixed guns have a max speed too. and, besides: get going real fast so the cannon fire is really close to your ship - then just run over 'em. that'd probably kill a krait. i think the speed on those guys is around 500 or so. think there's that extra zero there. on the other hand, it would be a bit odd if you could outrun your own weapon fire. that might be possible to do with an emalgha cannon.

it ain't a bug. if you want to, crank up the blaze cannon count and speed.

It's a feature, not a bug. 😉 Really. Changing game speed also affects which weapons the AIs use.

By the way, you can outrun your own weapons ifre. But not with type -1 guidance (that's like most cannons). Only with types: 1,2,4,5,6,7; that's smart homing, dumb homing, turret, freefall bomb, freeflight rocket, and forward turret. Fire from normal cannon will always stay in front of your ship.
