awesome cobat technique

Ok first you need a ship w/ the ue cloaking device(not that hard to get) the get your self a whole bunch of escorts the bigger and tougher the better. when your fighting and you get down low on your armor cloak. the enimie ships will stay in place but your escorts will continue to pummel them. This works especially great when your demanding tribute. you desroy all the ships you can until your armor is low then cloak. uncloak when your armor is all back(or run out of feul) now destroy more ships since you have some of your armor back. while your fighting now your fuel will recharge since you have two feul scoops-you should. it also helps to have two fuel tanks since it means you can stay cloaked longer

I agree, useing aradas is great too because they are fast(kinda) and are an ok ship, plus they are easy to capture.

Heh, I guess that would be combat, enemy, and fuel. 🙂

Want a REALLY dirty, low-down, planet-conquering, ship-stomping trick? I've got a beauty for ya.

This trick I call the KYDC (Kidsey) tactic. It stands for "Keep Your Distance Conquering". (Another good name for it would be "Make-Your-Escorts-Do-All-The-Work Conquering") Anyways, here's how it works. First, buy a big capital ship (a UE Destroyer will do nicely). Second, capture 6 escorts. In a UE Destroyer I was able to caputre 6 other Destroyers. It took me a while, but it was worth it! (I conquered 3 worlds with my squadron...before I purchased the glorious UE Cruiser!) Other good escorts would be Freight-Curriers (they've got 2 Blaze Turrets and a bunch of Hunter missiles, not to mention they're pretty tough, and en masse they're a nasty bunch), UE Fighters (mixed in with your group), or Helions (they're pretty agressive). Now, once you drop into the system you wish to conquer, turn around and run. I mean, fly away from the planet! Go to the system border. You'll know when you hit it. (Your ship will stop moving!) Once at the border, hail the planet and demand tribute. They'll promptly send out a fleet, and at the same time YOUR fleet will promptly go out to give them a proper welcome. Now, here's the beauty of this tactic. Your escorts soften-up or kill almost all the ships. The ships that DO get past them are weakened and are easy targets for your looming capital ship. And at your distance, in between attacks you will have ample time to regenerate your shields and prepare for your next victim. One other cool thing about this tactic is that the defense fleet from the planet completely IGNORES your escorts. You don't have to worry about losing them. Muahahahaha! ahum! It works beautifully.

Enjoy!

Personally, I found a great way to dominate. Buy any fighter bay, and as much fighters as you can. Then unload them all until you can't unload any more. Destroy all other ship in the system, then unload to the max again. Then, there will be no ships in any system when you hyperjump in. Demand tribute, and they can only send out one (usually shrimpy, like a Krait) ship at a time, and that's their entire defense fleet, exept for capitals, which only use two warships.

P.S. Do NOT use this tactic on Council Station. The C. Warships will just keep coming. 🙂
