I'm flying a Rim Prospector trying to retrieve ballot boxes from trajun, but keep dying. Any suggestions on ship class and tactics are greatly appreciated.

Get a snow goose. Fly and avoid asteroids until they're behind you and following you. Let go of the forward button, keep drifting, turn around backwards and fire at all of the asteroids following you from behind. Easy.

Fly away from the asteroids to the edge of the system, wait till they appear in top of the radar, fly off at right angles (they will follow your track), clear the screen to raise Trajan then head straight for the dock.
