If the normal "shift-command-3" screen capture key combination will not work, then you will need to get a screen capture utility. Probably the best is 'Snapz Pro' from (drum roll, please) Ambrosia Sostware. It's available for download from their web site. If you have an extendend keyboard, press f13

i tried comand-shift-3 and it dosn't work. it works on the computer, but not when i'm playing. and the f13 dosnt work either. i have an apple g3 power pc (the tan model) whats wrong. please help!!!!!!!!
You need snapz pro thingie...
I believe the screenshot is for Mac OS's first screen. When you load up a full screen like how EVO or most games does, Mac OS does not have the ability to take that picture. (as it is another 'screen')
Get the utility from Ambrosia. See andrew I can be helpful... I am not ALWAYS obnoxious

It works fine on my 7200!!!!!
Seriously, it doesnt do it if you have one of the dialog boxes up (ie something that says yes or no) otherwise with planet windows or just flying around, it should work (as I said, it works for me - it's just these modern computers!)

Andrew M, a little tip...
Andrew Welch on the board is known as 'andrew' Andrew Meil.. uh YOU on the board is known as "Andrew M"
Therefore 'andrew' is to Andrew Welch When someone says 'andrew' without capitalisation its not a type, is likely a reference
You can always hack EV with resEdit and take a gander at the sprites...
just so you all know Shift command 3 usually doesn't work in games that don't have shared processor time. EV/O is one of those games, it doesn't let you do anything in the background while it's running (during the game). Just for an example: StarCraft does let you take screen shots, that's because it supports shared processor time, and you can be running stuff in the background. Anyways, get Snapz Pro! Yeh! Go Ambrosia!
