Hello again everyone - What are some goals for the game.
It seems open ended. You can trade and make tons of money. You can try to dominate worlds.
I read on a board somewhere that you can dominate a planet by having like 32 fighters and they can't defend themselves. How do you go about dominating and getting tributes?? Do i need a better ship?? I have the laizara. Do I need more escorts that are fighters?
Thanks

If you can somehow get yourself and 35 escorts into a system, when you demand tribute, the planet won't be able to send out ships and you will be able to dominate the planet.
I gather that there is a limit on the number of ships that can be flying around in a system at a given time, or something like that. So if you max out that number with you and your escorts, that leaves no room for the planet you are demanding tribute from to send out ships to fight you. That should mean it doesn't matter what kind of ship you have or your escorts have, as long as there's alot of you.
ok, both helpfull but not telling you HOW to get the escourts, in EV you could capture fighters in to your fighter bay, i'm pretty sure this is in Override, however the only fighter bay you can do this with is the UE Fighter bay that means you have to get a carrier or a cruiser, and piss of the UE to disable their fighters. i suggest d/ling "I RULE!!!", it makes all planets give tribute insantly, it should be in the archives, though maybe not, i haven't check. however what i REALLY suggest is taking over systems fair and square.

I suggest that you get a ship that you like and complete the UE missions so that you can just buy UE fighters in the outfit yard. Then hire or take escorts. Then go and take over a planet.

Get a crescent warship. load some crescent fighters on it. By the way, how do you take over a planet fair and square?? i fight a planet for about 15 minutes and theyre still shelling guys out. Also, get the voinian armour. To get the armour, work for voinian or even better, the Emalgha. The emalgha will use your help in conquering a voinian planet as a mission. Then you can buy the armour
If you want to conquer a planet, begin by the second planet (I can't remember its name, its just a little station) at the westest part of Voinian space and by going down from Emalghia space. This station is just defended by about 15 shuttlecrafts and UE freighters, these ships are the worst for fighting, so it will be a piece of cake mission for a Lazira (It is possible to capture this planet with any ship except the Shuttlecraft). And If you managed to find and capture thi planet, you will have a 1000 credits tribute per day, which could be very usefull to buy a bigger ship (or a faster) than a Lazira. Hopping it could help you, Chapo

Just keep on fighting. A lot of planets have pretty large defence fleets, which they send out in waves of a few ships at a time. Generally I prefer to attack renegade systems because it does your legal status no harm at all, and most of these have defence fleets of about 36 vessels. Of course, about half of those are turncoats, which gives you another 50-odd carried fighters to deal with - that's what can make it seem like there's an endless number of the enemy, and why it takes so long. Patience . Keep knocking them down and sooner or later you'll have got them all. Then just hail the planet again, demand tribute and they'll roll over and pay up.
Dominantly yours,

you can also get tribute from planets by fighting off their defense fleet in fair battle. also, if the defense fleet ships are more powerful than you, use the Monty Python maneuver to beat them
Ya gotta get yourself a forklift, man... You can tear apart enemy defense fleets that way and still have a fighting chance... Or get your hands on "the dominator." It makes planets send out one wave of 30 ships.
