Has anyone noticed that when you shoot a rock pile when you have a mult crystal, more than one crystal pops out? I'm in the middle of putting up a picture and movie, but for now you can try it for yourself.

Yes you get one extra for each multicrystal spark that hits the rock pile. Very useful sometimes.

Well, I'm still working on it in my free time (which diminishes every day), so it's not done. But now that someone needs it I'll try harder and maybe even release what I have so far
I'll get back to you on that
And on the rock piles, it's a good thing for the player but I don't think it was meant to be that way (I'm not even sure if you actually get the equivalent of 2+ crystals.)

I sure quite a lot of people will want it. The documentation available is so widely spread that most people (me included) haven't got the time or the patience to troll through it and work things out.
