Well, since you guys were so good to me before (thanks again!), here's more begging for answers. Finally completed Ends of the Earth and am to Xichra's Lair. Basically I can see that it's largely a stamina exercise; anyone have any pointers? (I know this was discussed briefly a while back, but I'm hoping for lotsa input...) What's the best way to actually hit Xichra most of the time when one throws seeds at her? Any good ideas for avoiding the falling rocks, maces, arrows etc.? I have 7 rez necklaces -- do I need more to get through this thing, and if so, anyone want to tell me how to get at the two at the very end of Ends of the Earth?
Also, there's a secret in Fire in the Hole that I can't find worth a damn. It has some xichrons involved in it. Anyone know which one I'm referring to and how to get there?
Oh, and Ben rรถxx! -Simone

Here's a few pointers, but I can't really help with Xichra's Lair (Only hint there - Ferezedit).
Fire in the Hole: It's hard to know which secret you're missing, but there is one well hidden secret to the very far left of the level. When you get the V-blade and then go down below that level, go to the far left and use your Vblade as you go to get the powerup. A passage will open going down to a transporter which will take you to a secret area with a bunch of crystals etc. If that isn't the secret you're missing.... well, you'll just have to keep looking
Ends of the Earth - two rez necklaces at the end. I think you can just use multiple V blade shots to eventually break open the rock encasing the rez necklaces from below. I seem to remember using the treetrunk spell to climb up and cling to the side and then using a boomerang shot to get to them too. Just be careful not to go too far right or you will leave the level.

I beat Xichra with only three rez necklaces! Yeah, that's right. Anyhoo, It's mostly a good idea to hit her right after she comes down from her "falling down" thing. Also, use Ziridium Seeds first, then use fire seeds. For the rock thing just jump the oppisite direction the the boulders are coming. Just jump and jump and jump for the arrows. I hope that helps!

Thanks, you two!... can't wait to try those ideas out. Then maybe I'll play the beta thing for awhile...

I've tried about four times to beat Xichra, but it's a pain because I don't have any other save points, so I have to save Dimbo and then go to the River of Fears. I keep running out of fire seeds right when she starts to blink. The last time I tried, I did really well (although I had the dribbling fire seeds problem). Unfortunately, I had to leave, so I paused it and went to make my computer sleep, but then my hand slipped and I hit restart. That was the stupidest thing I've ever done with my computer. Of course, it automatically quit all my open programs and ruined my day.
So: Practice makes perfect; every time I've tried, I've done better at it. I just use the ledge and avoid all weapons, then come down or shoot from up there. Using the cannons actually works pretty well if you get the timing right. And if you're really lucky, the seed even goes into the other cannon and shoots back at Xichra. Another advantage to being down low is that when she falls, it's easy to hit her multiple times with boomerang/fireball, instead of having to drop off the ledge and and switch weapons then shoot.
Hope that helps some.

If that was the stupidest thing you have ever done with your computer, than I am immensely jealous of you.

More problems in the Lair. A bug of some sort keeps making me die instead of resurrecting me. I have 10 rez necklaces and I die when I have anywhere from 10 to 1 of them remaining. Anyone?... Bueller?...

I'll respond as "anyone"...
If you die on the edge of the screen the rez necklaces will not work. If this is what is happening try to die in full view. (Try to die? sort of the opposite of what we're trying to accomplish, but I hope you get my point!)

That's the dumbest bug I've ever heard of! You have to be on the edge of the screen constantly in order to keep being cannoned toward Xichra. Frequently you die in the ziridium fire because the cannon shoots you into it. It's impossible to get the timing perfect always, and I shouldn't *have to, because I have *ten stinking rez necklaces... Poop!
...What do you mean, when she starts to blink?

All the bosses start to blink when you've hit them a certain number of times. (As if they're saying "I'm ready to die soon!")
