And by the way, it's a great joy to play the game and to be here on the board. I found out, that I was really often to fast. i.e. find the BurningTree long ago, before I hear of the missing child : ) So, I will try to slow down.

Theoretically you could probably carry thousands or millions of items, but since the game starts to bog down a bit and also seems to get a bit unstable the more you carry, the practical limit is probably somewhere around 300 items. Plenty enough that you don't have to worry about dropping items.
Yes, I also had this feeling, that I sometimes "lost" some of my items. When I have 30-35 items.... 300? You must be jokin' : )

iv had over a hundred items before, mainly heal potions from long hunting raids on the lilith, but it does get realy boged down, selling the stuff you only have one or two of that you dont need speeds it up before you try to sell the ton of copys.
