I won. I dare say that was more than $25 worth of entertainment, at least in terms of time absorbed.
Nevertheless, the bugs were annoying. The ones that I remember:
-- Edge of screen. Sometimes, trying to walk into the next tile doesn't work. Walking around in a circle a little bit and pressing different combinations of arrow keys, or using the mouse, seems to fix it, but it really sucks if you're trying to run away from a monster and you can't go anywhere.
-- Crashy interactions. The guy in the ghost swamp crypt that you get the divine lamp for doesn't work very well; I can get the lamp but if I try to talk to him the game crashes. I finally settled on doing the whole thing (entering the room, getting the lamp, and leaving) without talking to him (without even getting the quest in the first place). I also had the same problem with the dwarf that gives you the sword. I ended up backtracking to an older save file and was able to get it from him.
-- Dialog, signs, etc. Lots of weird things. Bad English. (Get someone who is a native speaker to write the dialog next time.) One inconsistency is the sign that says "northern territories to the north"; but you can't get to the "northern territories" tunnel exit that way; the tunnel entrance map is similarly misleading.
I can't remember the rest of them. There were lots. The plot was good.
