The elf sends you to get a special shield from witch finger. show that shield to the guy at the learning tree, that should do it.

Ok, so after the thing with the elf and you show the druid your mumble, you get another quest to go to the bleeding forest.
Where the bloody hell is the bleeding forest? Spoilers welcome. Thanks.
Remember the cave that took you beneath Verandeep lake? The cave exit/entrance on the south side of the lake, go east 2 screens I believe from there. The bleeding forest is there, and the well is on the eastern side of the screen.

The only problem with that is you need 3rd lvl acces to read "order of seasons" so that the elf talks to you....

Do you have to complete the shield first? To do that I need to get the tome from High Garendall, but to get into HG, I need to get to level 3 of the learning tree, but to get to level 3, I need to complete the shield, but to complete the shield, I need the Tome, but to get the Tome, I need to get into High Garendall, but to get into High Garendall I need to get to Level 3, but to get to Level 3, I need to complete the shield...
