This may be important information to someone who keeps their screen resolution at 1024 x 768 or something like that. I have found that if I reset my resolution to 832 x 624 BEFORE I start playing the game, I get absolutely no freezes.
Not only that, but I GET THE SPELLS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!
I've written to Ben about this.
I've tested this several times over, and it always works this way. If I don't reset the resolution first, I get freezes and no spells. If I reset the resolution first, I get no freezes, and all the spells.
