The Order of Crystal?

Okay. I am trying to find the Order of Crystal and get their dragon tooth. I read that you go under Vanendeep lake, and that there are lots of mages. If the mages are the people that shoot fireballs at you, then I coldn't find any. I went through the cave and out the other side. Where are the mages? Where is the dragon tooth?

the tooth is in a cave that shaped like a skull. i think its NE of the south enterance to the passage under the lake. the mages are outside the enterance.
