Whoa whoa whoa. You guys know that I'm the only mod around here.

cough

I'd like to point out that I've been a moderator of this board since its creation.

Ditto.

I miss UBB's displaying of who the moderators of a board were on the top of a screen.

Yes, it was such a nice power trip ❤

More than just a power trip, people visiting a particular forum actually knew who could help them.

You don't have to be a mod to answer a question.

Who could help them more than most other people, then? Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

No, but there are other kinds of help. I suppose the Report button kinda takes the place of this, but it does lack a certain personal feel to it.

I've yet to see a member lock or move a topic.

There was a board i was an admin of (the board died, the owner got pissed off at the spam and killed it) where you would get points per post count, which could then be traded for one-time-use moderator actions. It defeated the purpose of being a mod, and helped bring about the demise of that board.

edit: also, two members tried to stage a mutiny and failed.

Well that was stupid.
