Some people deserve to be shot.
It never fails that if I want to contact the designer of a certain plug-in, he will list the E-Mail of every beta-tester he used for the plug-in, and every graphic or aide used from other people, but fails to put his own E-Mail in the read-me or anywhere else...
Grrrr.
Um I don't think this belongs here, but anyway if it really makes you that angry, why not e-mail one of the people who beta-tested it and ask them for the designer's e-mail?
I'm surprised the developer didn't leave an email. They ususally want to be notified if there is a bug. Even if there was a way to contact the author, if the plug is old, the email address is most likely obsolete.
Mackilroy has a great idea. Did you do a member search for the author's name on this web board?
What is the plugin that you're playing, btw? Is it an EV Classic plug?
Well...um...duh. If there was ever an obvious solution, that was it, it's not like I was overlooking it.
And of course it's a Classic plug, I wouldn't be posting in this board if it wasn't...
In either case, it's not relevant. I've downloaded every single plug there is available (save the ones that are obviously not worth the DL), and I'm eliminating them one by one to see which ones are any good. I eliminated the one I had a question about, so at this point that doesn't matter.
In any case, of all the 17 pages of plugs, I've narrowed my field down to 12. 3 of those are for sure good ones, the other 9 are still to undergo testing.
Yes, I know there's differences of opinion, but when it comes to game specifics, I'm the pickiest person you're going to find. Given 17 pages, 12 is actually a very high number for me. In completely different games I've more than once eliminated absolutely everything...so we'll see what the nominees are soon enough. Fortunately, if something fails, it doesn't take long to determine that.
Well, if you hadn't overlooked it, then why are you complaining? Doing that serves no purpose.

Your appreciation is underwhelming.
Well isn't this a cheerful little topic.
Yes....., Cheerful indeed.
Well aren't you a cheerfully-named gravedigger.
dude, it's only 15 days on a board that doesn't move that fast.
