Favorite ship

Okay, my correct favorite ships are:

courier: Scoutship. I can easily take down an Argosy with one.
fightger: Lightning. but it needs a Tritanium addon.
warship: Rebel Destroyer. but the Lightning is way better.
freighter: I have never, ever bought a freighter. Why would I, when a Scoutship is better, has more fuel, costs less, and carries as much as I would ever need?

No car, no license, no cash, no life. Coincidence?

Courier: Scoutship (speed, as much cargo as you'll need for most courier jobs, and cost)

Fighter: Lightning (as escorts or fighters from a bay, that is)

Warship: Kestrel (underused but good :D)

Freighter: There's really only one freighter thet you can get, the Light Freighter.

I don't see what's so good about an Argosy. It needs some big modifications if you want to get anything good out of it, and with those creds you could have gotten a Corvette, which is about as good as you can get for a base vessel. And if you wanted to make that Argosy really kick some serious butt in any way, just get a Kestrel with those creds. And by the time you've gotten enough creds to get a Kestrel, you'll have spent weeks on the Persephone/Clotho trade route.

Or, maybe I'm just a crackpot that doesn't know what he's missing. 😉

Courier: Courier (oddly enough)
Fighter: Corvette, if it doesnt count...Confed Gunboat with lots of missiles
Warship: Rebel Destroyer, its fast and fairly powerful
Freighter: Kestrel with cargo pods

This looks like a job for.........crap, I forgot what I was going to say

You can with around 2M (at least, less than the price of the Corvette) get an Argosy that can destroy Kestrels (I admit, you have to be a bit skilled). And still carry bulk cargo (100 tons).

This reminds me I did not post my list. So here it goes:

Courier: Shuttlecraft with one or two fuel pods, and maybe one cargo expansion. That way, no need to buy anything before Argosy or 'vette.

Fighter: that's a thoughie, I don't like them, as I can't envision earning my money solely from combat. Let us say Rapier

Warship: Rebel Cruiser.

Freighter: Bulk Freighter. If you're serious about freighting without being able to defend yourself, you might as well use the biggest one, it's not that manned so you can capture one with not that much hassle.

With a rapier is is possible to do rush deliveries, I used a rapier for the longest time because it could defend itself and because it could carry more than enough cargo.
