Laser Ships against it. Then I fired 100 Homing Mines, this damaged it to about 20%. I fired 40 Precision Bombs while dodging Nukes, so that they didnt hit asteroids. Knowing that its shields regenerate quickly, I fired 3 Neutron Turrets and 2 Laser Beams immediately afterwards at it. I got it to 12% before I died. I would have runned to regenerate my sheilds if its shield regeneration rate wouldnt have been friggin insane. Here are its and my statistics. I hope it doesnt make the thread too long, I thought it was relevant.
Battlestation Shield: 1200 Accel: 1 Speed:1 Turn: 120°/ sec Armor: 800 Shield regeneration: 60 Weapon 1: Nuclear Rocket, 2 launchers and 200 Nukes Weapon 2: Lightnings, 2 bays and 50 Lightnings Weapon 3: 10 Neutron Turrets
Beam Cruiser (me) 5 Mass Expansions, Tritanium, Thrust Enchancement, Engine Upgrade, RCS Upgrade, Electronic Countermeasures (aka Missile Jammer), 2 Homing Mine Launchers, 100 Homing Mines, 2 Shield Boosters, Shield Upgrade, 4 Stringrays, 4 Laser Ships, 3 Neutron Turrets, 2 Bomb Bays, 40 Precision Bombs, X-Ray Laser, 2 Laser Turrets
Do I change my Stingrays & Laser Ships for a Rapier Bay? Do I get a fourth Neutron Turret (thats max) and 2 Laser Beams? Do I fire these lasers the same time as the X-Ray? Or because the station is a cheat, can I cheat back? I have many of these thought, beginning with raising the max of Homing Mines to 500.

No answer in 3 days. I thought the EV boards would never fail to answer, no matter how difficult the problem. Well, Ill try the things I asked if I should use. And if they dont work, Ill use cheats. I have a lot of methods I can try.

What is "E2?" With the "Laser Beams" and "Beam Cruiser" it sounds like Empire 2.2. If it is, shouldn't you post in EVO? I personally use Rapiers as escorts, they are more expensive, but are more effective. Their bay weighs 50T or 60T extra. I would rather use that space for weapons, and buy needed escorts.

Have you tried using the most recent updater for Empire 2.0? I do recall that one of my plugs had the battlestation sentinels set with a shield recharge rate that was far too low to operate. If you like use ResEdit to give the shield recharge a much higher value, for example 1000.
Hope this helps and thanks for your interest in my plugs!
Kindest Regards,
Tim

Tim, you posted! Its not often you post, so its something special everytime you post. Post one more time, because I have a question. Which plug do you mean when you say most recent Empire 2.0 updater? I downloaded the E2 updater, the 1.0 ---> 1.4 one. It didnt have any ship resource, so you must mean E3: Endgame. Quote from your own website: Please note that there is a bug in ENDGAME that causes certain battlestations and sentinels to be completely invincible to any weapon. So no, there is no fix plug for my problem. But thanks for supporting that I can edit the shield recharge value to much higher! Ill abort the mission, edit, get it again, and face a possible enemy. I know, because a Sauridian Carrier jumped in for some bizarre reason and caused it to go to armor: Shields down.
OK, I did it! I have done one of the most irritating possible mission! I killed the 50 Lightnings. Easy- just remember to always outrange them with Neutron Turrets, and dont let more than one at a time fire on you. Then I dodged all the Nukes. Man, that was tedious. Because it had 200 of them, it was a lot to dogde. But easy- just stay in a position where Pirate station is at the edge of the radar. Then it will either run out of fuel and explode with no damage, or hit asteroids. I launched my Stringrays & Laser Ships near it, so less missiles would hit. It took the station by storm- 30 % damage! Then I started firing Homing Mines near the top of it. I lost almost all shields (as 10 Neutron Turrets is just as cheaty as a shield regeneration of 60), but got it to armor. I regenerated. I did it faster than it- when I was fully recharged it had only 20% shields!. A Destroyer appeared for some reason only known by gods. It died quickly, ofcourse. A basic warship by Terrans is no match for the most ridiculous non-Alien ship ever made. I fired my Neutron Turret and Laser Turrets. It got disabled in a few seconds, but still did 35 % damage because of the total overpowering of its turrets.

My most recent updates for each of my plug-ins can always be found at the official Empire Trilogy homepage noted below. As for my absence from the webboards etc., I've just moved to the UK to begin (hopefully!) postgraduate studies in paleobiology so don't have the spare time I did in the past. You all may be interested to know that plans are apparently under way by my fans to convert all of my plugs to basic NOVA format and I know MacDevil is still awaiting ship sprites to be completed for a major NOVA conversion of my classic Heart Of Darkness. As for myself once things are more settled this side of the Atlantic (I'm originally from Canada) I hope to begin work on my very first NOVA plug which will be a psychological thriller called FEARFUL SYMMETRY.
Thanks again for all of your interest in my work and for as long as people keep playing my plug-ins I'll likely keep making them!
Later, all...
