Could somebody advise me on the Alien Fighter that now keeps appearing in my universe. It seems more difficult to fight & beat than the Alien Cruiser and further more I have no mission to kill off this enemy of mankind

It's just there to give you a hard time. For whatever reason it always seemed to imagine the guy screaming something like, "I will get my revenge by killing all of you!..." I think it's harder to kill than the alien cruiser, but I don't know about what the rest of the guys here think. It's not going to come up in a mission anytime, but if you can take him out, more power to ya.

Take a Rebel Cruiser with as many primary weapons as you can load on (and armour enhancements) and then when you see an alien fighter tractor beam it and slowly tear it apart with your protons. Taking it on in a ship less than a kestrel is....unwise

Zax, thank you also. I have the Rebel Cruiser fully armed as you suggest. One of my secondary weapons is a Partical Beam. This isn't the tractor beam you speak of is it? If not what is the purpose of this Partical Beam, when used it only serves to drink my fuel at an ararming rate.

You must have worked for the Confederation to get the particle beam. The tractor beam is a weapon you gain when you do the rebel mission string. I guess it may be possible to destroy the alien fighter without it, but it's insane speed means that you'll have a hard time keeping up with it. The particle beam in this case will just hamper your efforts as it will knock back the alien fighter.
