EV for the PC

I've had EV for about six months, and I absolutely love it. I was talking to a friend (a pc user) today, though, and while he wanted to get it, he couldn't find it for his computer. I've looked around the site for about half an hour, but I can't find anything.

At the risk of sounding unbelievably insupporable and whiny, could someone simply post the link? Thanks!

it doesnt exist...
there is no PC EV...
Much as it would be a good idea...

but do not dispair! I am a PC EV player! How you ask? the magic that is an emulator. I use executor a simple emulator that requires no .ROM file go to (url="http://"http://www.ardi.com")www.ardi.com(/url) . If he can get a .ROM file, then he should checl out SoftMac... at some URL that I dont remember. GOod luck

Ah, wouldn't be worth it to port it. Shareware, especially 2D games like EV, don't do well on Windows.

The awsome and powerful

Dear EV lovers,
About 6 or so years ago I had a mac. An old Performance or some crap like that. Well I found and downloaded EV. I loved the game so much but never registered (sorry Ambrosia, I was only about 10 and my parents would have never given me money for it). I just recently downloaded EV Nova and I love it. I definately have money now and plan on registering it IF someone can make a plug-in maker for the PC. I know it won't be much of an undertaking because there's already a mac-pc converter for plug-ins. I've been searching ALL night for an emulator that doesn't take some stupid ROM. About 3 years ago I redownloaded EV and EV:O on my old PC and found an EXCELENT emulator for it. It not only ran smooth but had sound and everything. For all I know it might have been the Executor. If it was, I must have given it butt loads of memory usage cause I never had a problem with laggyness. Well my point is that I really enjoyed coming up with new ideas for plug-ins with EV and EV:O and now that there is finally a PC version of EV, I can't make any plug-ins. I've been trying to get Basilisk II going so wish me luck on that and if anyone has any info on a project in the making to allow PC users to make plug-ins that would be great. My e-mail is ubelong2matt@softhome.net . Thank you much!

There's a perfectly good Windows editor for EVN available right now : (url="http://"http://www.aznt.com/EVN/EVNEW/")EVNEW(/url). Have fun.

Yep, and to original poster:

Tell you friend to download EV Nova for PC, register it, and download the EV classic and EV Override plug-ins for free.

3 games for the price of one, not bad, eh?

It's funny until someone gets hurt.
Then it's hilarious.

EV comes out for the PC, and suddenly nobody cares about ol' Spade's efforts. Ah, no worries, that's the way it should be. Kudos Ambrosia.
