I recently decided to go exploring the Gidolan Keep area, south of Frantrima. I can kill everything there without getting hurt, except for the big blue guys with axes(sea giants I'm assuming), who kill me in one hit, even with the shield up. I survive fine just by avoiding them, and have a large enough supply of pots(about 50 or 60 some pots of various kinds). So far the exploration hasn't been too profitable, cause I can't kill the sea giants, so I am considering returning to Frantrima, but before I do so I wanted to ask a few questions about the area.

One more question while I'm at it...is there anywhere where you can buy better equipment(ie weapons, armor, etc.) then in Bergelum(sp?)? Or do you just have to pick it up.

theres better armor at witch finger
Thanks for all the help.
Just wondering...you always on?
my computer is on 24-7, when i walk by i check it.
Froglogic: you should check your kingdom map to see where unopened termite tunnels are. The Cyclops Coast Entrance is 2 maps to the east of the eastern half of Gidolan Keep. And you could find the War Axe of Misery(strongest 2handed weapon in the game) further south and east in a ghoul infested cavern... But i'm not sure if your ready for it.

Any blacksmiths in that area? I am supposed to find the greatest living blacksmith. Thanks.

The blacksmith you're looking for is on the same map as the secret cave with the axe.

No, its i screen west of that cave.
I know the map shows the tunnel entrances, I just didn't know how close to Gidolan Keep the southern one was. Also, about the cave...I wouldn't be surprised if I could manage, only monster I've had any trouble with is the sea giant(of the ones I've run into), even managed the wierd woman(whatever her name is) who guards the holy lamp. I'll go look for the cave when I get a chance. Only problem is that I probably won't get a chance to keep playing till next weekend. Thanks again for the advice.
As it turns out I had a chance to. The minotaurs are a godsend 1500 exp and they don't damage me, still got the occasional sea giant around though. Now that I'm getting close to gaining a level, makes me wonder whether I should pay my first visit to Witch Finger and get some stat raising pots. South of Gidolan Keep I also started discovering sea shells though...what do they do?
I take back that last question, I'd rather find out the answer to that one myself...
And that last message was not supposed to begin: As it turns out I had a chance to.
But rather: As it turns out I had a chance to play again before the weekend.
