For some reason, I cannot get EV to play a normal game. I've gotten a few plug-ins to work, such as Realm of Prey, and other large TCs. However, I cannot get Talon or the normal game to work.
When I start a new pilot, it starts me out in a non-existant "system" and I cannot jump into a "real" system or anything. The map is totally disconbobulated. Before I even get into the ship, I notice that the criminal status is at N/A.
I have tried this both with and without EV Tuner. Neither works.

Just reinstall EV. Or toss the prefs.

This will only happen to me if I am in a plug-in system. Put any plug-ins you have used before in it and see if any are compatable. If not try hitting H and selecting another system with . It worked for me one time.

Well, I reinstalled EV 1.0.5 and it works perfectly fine. I guess EV is kinda like a car; let it sit for a while and you'll see just how sturdy man's creations are.

Yeah, the reason it wasn't working is because your data files were either corrupted, or you messed with them. You probably just forgot doing something to them. Either that, or part of your disk was corrupted on a crash or something.

I must not have returned my originaly EV Data file when I was tinkering with my EV TC a while back...
