Okay, I read through the PDF manual and many pages of questions. How do I jettison only my non-mission cargo? The manual says something like Alt WinK.

Yes, I'm using the Windows Version. So on the Mac, is it K to jettison all cargo and option K for non-mission cargo only?

Okay, so normal mission cargo (such as "take 10 food to Earth") will be ejected anytime you try to eject the 5 units of metal you bought at the trade center. The only cargo that you can keep on board is something so special, it appears below your credits in the HUD.
I guess this would be plot-related cargo?
