Basic Rules & Game Structure -Research & Development: Each government is allowed 1 project slot and 1 research slot at the begining of the game. All research of new technology ect will be done on a "per real-time day" basis. For example:
Confederate Cruiser Prototype Development: 6 RTD
-Ship Production: Initial production for each ship class is equal to 10%"per RTD" of the number of ships of that class in your government's starting fleet. Ignore fractions unless the ammount of ships produced is below 1 "per RTD." For Example:
Starting fleet = 13 Warships, 5 Carriers, 36 Fighters * 10% = Initial Production = 1 Warship, .5 Carriers, 3 Fighters "per RTD"
In this case the government would produce one Carrier every two Real Time Days.
-Hyperspace Travel: Since the nature of webstories makes hyperspace travel somewhat sujective there can be very few real time limits placed on it. Ships can only move 3 jumps in one post 5 total in a Real Time Day. No ship can enter a battle zone already in progress unless it was noted in story or to a moderator OOC as en route before the battle began. In case you aren't clear on this, it means no reinforcments to battles in progress.
As always a ship can only jump the number of sytems it's fuel allows without refueling. If need be a ship can be refueled and make another set of jumps in one post within the above limitations.

Unreal, this is what I call getting off to a bad start. First off, your flagship can't be a Corvette. Corvettes don't even exist yet, not to mention you don't have any in the ships I assigned to you. Please edit your post to make that flagship either a Carrier or a Supertanker. Second, the Solarian Commonwealth dosn't have authority over Maxwell's Purchace, it's an independant world. Oh, yeah, also Levo is a planet of the Northern Regency, and they might not appreciate your mining company doing unauthorized exploitation of one of their planet's recources. I hope you have talked that over with Kyle.

Shhh, it's a secret :). Actually it kindof is but kindof isn't, all the players that need to know know, and the ones that it would help the story's continuity not to know havn't been told by me. Basicly the humans wouldn't know how many ships the Merasi have available in the story, so most of them dont outside of it.

All right, before we get any battling done, i would appreciate it if someone told me how battles will work, i.e. send me an email.

Since I don't have access to email at the moment, but I do have some time on my hands I'll explain battles to you right here Mike. In a battle with NPCs you can basicly do whatever you want, just post the movements and tactics that you want for both sides. In battles involving more than one players things get a little bit more complicated. Whenever you are fighting another player you are not allowed to "control" their ships past evasive manuvers and returning fire. If the other player left his ships engaged in a particular tactic or strategy at the end of their last post, his ships are expected to continue with it in your post as well. For instance, if the other player left his ships in a tight defensive formation you can't go posting that his ships all of a sudden decided to split into a phalanx and come flying into your heavy rockets. Above all be realistic in assessing your own losses, don't assume that your ships are gonna do extra damage and fly better just because you're you.
