The rebels soon realized this was too easy, then they figured it out they were destroying ships that had already been crippled beyond repair, the systems was abandoned first thing that week and traps were placed along with communications blocks. The fighters had their own mission.
Two fighter squadrons had diverged as soon as an informer gave the go messages were sent to them to leave, all Kestrels left the system at the same time but they were homeward bound. 234 Lightnings and 173 Rapiers make up each fleet. The fighters had been prepared for moderate defenses and entered the systems ready to blaze only to find the only remaining ships were few enough that 50 Defenders could have destroyed them. The fighters soon annihilate all enemy forces. Then the bombing begins. All factories, research facilities, launch bases, and mining facilities are disabled in systems 82 and 92 crippling rebel resistance in this sector.

469 Lightnings and 347 Rapiers wait for rebel ships to arrive at the opposite side of each system from the jump entrance. Massive industrial and mining damage is caused in systems 82 and 92 production will not continue for at least 8 weeks. Hidden communication blocks are placed. It will take over 16 weeks to find them and until then rebel fleets will have no out of system communications.

Message to Confeds(encrypted): "We have an offer to make you. We will give you the systems of 57, 58, 92, 94, 80, and 82, completely devoid of our ships and our computer memory and designs. In return, you will help us to defeat the pirate menace that would be plauging you space after they take a few of our systems. I will not lie to you. There will by many bloodthirsty ruthless pirates. After we finish in systems 82 and 92, we will help you in 100, 4, 99, 12, and 62. Do we have a deal?" end ---------- 82 The rebel fleet arives and notes the enemy presence. They quickly form a new formation. The ships become a dome, with the open side facing the enemy fighters. At top speed, the dome zooms across the system. When the pirate fighters reach the dome, they try to swerve clear or keep up, but a good number are trapped inside. The dome speeds forwards, and the fighters try to keep up, but as Anti-Fighter beams converge, theres nothing left. Even with the massive ammount of fighters, the fleet had more than half of they shields left. Then, the shield disconnects, leaving the LRWs and Shieldships sitting there to pick off enemies. As SRWs lose their shields, they quickly activate their connectors again, and the shields are back. Now the enemy fighters were trapped in a web of shields. The SRWs attack, but wait for the enemy to go after the Shieldship, and then they would pound. Whenever a SRWs shields where low, it would connect with the Shieldship, regaining full shields while the Shieldship regained its own.

As the fighters enter hyperspace their cargo bay doors open dumping scrap metal on the rebel destroyers. The rebels believe they actually are destroying ships! As the ships leave system 92 the concentrated forces of the scrap metal tears a hole in the shieldship and the fuel cell explodes. In 84 an SRW is destroyed in a similar fashion, Alliance casualties are minimal. Then the attack on 94 begins.
Coordinated departure time and temporary shut down of communication blocks created an arrival time at system 94 within three seconds. Missiles fly on the weak ships and before shields go up 1 SRW is destroyed. Torpedoes join the missiles and the Rebel 1,500 shields fall in seconds Alliance casualties aren't high but they are there. 2 SRWs and 1 LRW is disabled. 1 SRW is destroyed. Rebel fortifications are not yet being used and either are Alliance traps.

Team 2 enters system 94 and begins attacking all the pirates with eather energy weapons or telepathic bombardments, both do very well.

The rebel threat is becoming less substantial as their fleets dwindle and their ability to build is crippled. After the Battle of Time in system 94 Dread heads to TPZ-1 for the naming of the asteroid station and system in the typical Alliance fashion. He contemplates the usefulness of a industrial station in a system with heavy mining and resolves to build a mining station nearby to increase effectiveness. When he arrives the station looks in top shape with heavy short range weaponry extended from the hull of the asteroid, as is typical of any base in the asteroid belt. The naming begins and two prisoners are sacrificed to become the empathic protection. This sacrifice is bloodless and painless as one male and one female prisoner join physically and emotionally by the help of Alliance psychics. Glowing beams eminate from their bodies and the audience is blinded when their vision returns the bodies are gone. The name is given by their efforts and they eternally guard the sanctuary, the station is named Eternal Reward, the system is named Niara, a combination of the lover's names.

Also, Ipvicus, I would really like for you to repond to my message. ---------- The fleets in 58 and 57 meet in 57. In one (real time) day, they would leave for system 80. When all three fleets are combined, there will be around 120 SRWs, 60 LRWs, and 6 Shieldships. The fleets will make sure to come out of hyperspace on the outside of Confed systems. In one day, the fleet will be in system 80, with no Confed casualties.

OOC: This is the cue to play Star Wars Main theme music (Dun dun dun dunnnn, dunnnn) ---------- In system 94, the most massive attack the rebels ever had was about to take place. Ships from 80, 82, and 92 were there. In total, there were 154 SRWs, 68 LRWs, and 9 Shieldships. All hell broke loose. ----- Before the pirates could get any shots in, shields where up. The group of ships formed a Sphere formation, and the 60,000 shields were barely scratched in the first pirate barrage. As quick as possible, the LPBs where fired, causing damage to pirate capitals. Then the Shieldships activated their Shield Beams, and fired at the flagship. Something unexpected happened. Not only did the beams hurt the enemy flagship, they repulsed it. The ship flew backwards at an alarming speed, but since the speed pushed the ship out of range, only 1/4th of the shield were gone. Deciding to use this ability to the fullest, the Shield beams where soon being fired in short, accurate bursts at fighters that where incoming. The fighters where violently thrown backwards, completely out of range. Some weaker fighters lost all shields, and some just lost some. From then on, that was the beams use in the battle, to throw and destroy enemy fighters.
Paranoid, you decide casualties for your side. I only have 58,000 shields now.
The Alliance fleet was no match for the rebel offensive. The Alliance fleet soon turned tail and ran, but once again the rebels had brought in too large a fleet to defend their other systems. So all fighters fly to systems 82 and 92 to inflict massive industrial damage. The capital ships flee back to system 99 where massive reinforcements wait in ambush the fleet will continue to build until the force is undefeatable.

Unreal goes to a neutral posistion calling all his troops back to his VP Transport. The all board and unreal takes off. He gets there as soon as he left and starts trying to make a 'wormhole.'

The counter-attack was finally planned and ready. After five weeks of planning the Alliance fleet sets out from system 99 to attack the warzone. The attack is massive and fast as fleets from 82, 92 and 99 attack warzone in a massive hit and run attack. The advantage of creative technology is on the Alliance side this time. New modified torpedoes called "brimfires" launch in massive amounts from the new capital class Devil's Advocates. Rapiers also launch these new weapons. The rebel fleet counters these new weapons with their PDS cannons but the brimfires have shields, which absorb the blows. Soon the Rebel fleet figures out that the brimfires will occasionally pierce the rebel's precious shields and go straight toward the shieldships, two die immediately as hundreds of brimfires pour in. Soon a brilliant shieldship captain decides to shoot one with the shield beam. Due to the negative/positive energy the beam carries a massive feedback charge to the shieldship destroying it and 2 LRWs nearby. All told 8 of the shieldships fall to the massive attack and 32 SRWs as well as 8 LRWs. 13 SRWs are disabled and 3 LRWs are disabled repair within this system will be impossible. Then before the Rebels can organize a counter-attack the Alliance flees. Minor Alliance casualties are taken.
