I noticed a flaw in your logic, the massive amount of power that would need to be contributed would be similar to hyperspace, but 100,000,000 times larger. The cost to open a wormhole for 5 minutes would be 3 or 4 Million credits. However the method could be used to search out new Hypergates. I will contribute 1 Million credits every day until the project is complete, in exchange for the technology when it is developed. To Paranoid: Encrpyted: negitive energy I know the wormhole has major promblems the major one is energy. I however have solved half. There is one black hole in this known galaxy and hyperspace has been cut off to it. I know where it is and am going to harness it. This seems imposible but It isn't and I then will have enogh positive energy gatherd In one second to run the empire for 5,000,000,000 years and It should have enogh to run the wormhole and then some. The stations setup in the Uninhabited systems Tryvin and Alcyon. The stations are renamed Defence Platform Alpha(Tryvin) and Beta(Alcyon). The station in New antiqua space has arrived. It floats in Cydonian space in cloak giveing sheild power to the Defence platforms.
The Defence platforms have a sheild grid that rivals 20 planets. One on each ring. There are 3 rings. If one goes down another sheilds the fallen sheilds ring while sustaining its own untill the fallen can hold its own. Each have a complament of Escape Fighters, Up graded laser cannons, upgraded proton cannons, 20 Torp and missle launchers, 10000 each. A stolen Enhanced tractor beam that can reach the end of the system and pull anything in, 1000 Laser and Proton cannons.
