EMPIRE 2: DARK HORIZONS adds dozens of new systems, hundreds of original missions, and scores of outfits and ships. EMPIRE 3: ENDGAME adds still more missions, ships, systems, and outfits. EMPIRE OF CRIME and HEART OF DARKNESS add STILL MORE of these. While technically still not "true" TCs, as they are set in the same Universe as the base scenario, they are still considered to be TCs because most of the base missions have been completely removed to make way for Tim's original (and incredibly well-written) missions.

Who is this Tim. I've never heard of him. But he seems to have been around for a while.
Tim is the writer of the Empire series, which many, including myself, consider to be the best plugins of all time. Tim has been registered for two and a half years, but he only posts when releasing a plugin, so we don't see him very much.

Anyone else have any problems with the d/l for Realm? I keep getting a 6.1 meg file and the desc. says 6.26 megs. Unable to expand with expander 5.5, 6.01, 6.5, or 7.01, the dreaded "file is corrupt or not valid" message. Thanks, Mike

This isn't always true, but I've found one sign of an overhyped plug-in (often leading to vaporware) project is a very flashy website that's updated more often than the plug-in itself. So I'd consider this a good thing.

Tim was waiting until RoP was released to update it. He should be working on it now. He said it was going to undergo huge changes after RoP was released.
