Warning about the barricades...Help!!!

I have been spending days attempting to warn the people of Berglum and Dernath about the invasion but keep getting the brush-off. I am obviously missing something but can't figure out what. The Learning Tree has not been of any help. Hints and spoilers would be greatly appreciated.

Dernath is having a cyclops problem that there too busy dealing with....fix there problem.
Berglum will not help since the guard thinks your lying...Mabe carry word for a great general asking for there assistance.

I completed the Cyclops quest in Dernath and the lost general in the Ghost Swamp. However, I still get the brush-off.

did you talk to the general back at camp after the swamp quest? and did you talk to the mayor after the cyclops mission?

Yes indeed. The mayor of Dernoth gives me the brush-off as does the general at Berglum. The people of Dernoth thank me for having got rid of the Cyclops. The guards at the barricade outside Dernoth have told me that they will spread the word about my achievment. Meanwhile the general at the camp tells me to tell the folks at Berglum and Dernoth to build barricades, which I have most definitely done. I begin to smell a bug but hope I am wrong.

give me your list of missions in your to-do list.

You need to talk to the general again at the barricades (he is wandering around his tent) and he will send you to the other garrisons.

Talk to Decimus (not Septemris), then go back to the garrisons. Tell them that you speak on behalf of Decimus.

To ArcAngel
My missions are: Warn the guards, In the path of thievery, Catch a dark fairy, Learning tree search.

To Dee
Which general at which barricades? If you mean in Fantrima, I have done that but will try it again.

To Kanddak
I am not sure that I know who either Decimus or Septemris are. I think that Decimus is the general I saved in the Ghost Swamp but haven't seen him since.

To everyone on this thread
Many thanks for trying to save this dumb adventurer!!!!

Septemris is the old knight at Knighthood House who hands out quests and titles.
Decimus is the general you rescued. He's the one you need to talk to. He's on the same screen as Septemris.
(url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/kanddak/septemris.html")Click here for a map of that screen, with Septemris and Decimus marked(/url).

Kanddak, thank you so much for the screenshot. I passed that area so many times. In my eagerness to get to the Knight House I rushed right by the tent area without noticing it. Anyway, I am happy to report that all is now well. Now I shall go to bed, content, and get some sleep in preparation for a game of tennis in the 'real world' tomorrow morning. Then, after lunch, back to Garendall. The saving grace of my stupidity is that I had so many repeat encounters with assorted monsters that I was able to level up many times. 🙂
