The mac SE was invented in the mid-late 1980's. The microprocessor or the floppy disc hadn't been invented in the 60s. The pocket calculator was a far-off dream and computers were still incredibly big and bulky things that only very large corporations, universities and governments bothered to use.
And yes, the mac SE was very decent, at least that's what I've heard.
