Hmmm. I have always loved the Corvette. The Kestral, however, has always been a great ship. Then there's the Rebel Cruiser. I think I'm going to go with the Corvette. It has awesome graphics, killer speed, and pretty good upgradability. I always upgrade to the Kestral after I can fork out enough dough, but the Corvette is my favorite.

The Rebel Cruiser is obviously the best. It looks cool, has great fighters (a swarm of Mantas can take out a Confed frigate in 15 seconds), and is quite maneuverable for its size. Rebel Cruiser rules! Rebels Rule!

Honest Query: Why do so many of you people like the ponderous Cruisers and slow Kestrel? I already voiced my preference for the Rebel Destroyer, but I fail to comprehend the interest in the slowpoke ships. I'll take a well outfitted 'Vette LONG before a Confed or Rebel Cruiser. And even the Kestrel is too slow for my tastes. (Underlying this is my bias: I would rather do my own fighting or running -- not relying on "expendable" fighters.)

BIG BULKY SHIPS SUCK WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE LIKE THEM. I mean the Rebel Destroyer is the fastest/most powerful ship that I can stand and it is still kinda slow. When I replayed the game (AFTER BEATING IT)I jsut went through and hacked the ships so they are all faster, except for those freaking scoutships, those are just pitiful. But if I had to place my vote I would take my supremely beefed out EXECUTIVE TRANSPORT WOOT(with the help of resedit, and the increasing boredom of the game after I beat it. also keep in mind when I beat the game there were no plugins out yet.)
