What's up with Pale?

I d/l'ed it from the addons page here, checked it with PlugChecker (lots of missing items), came to the board here, saw a couple of places to d/l it from, but, lo and behold, I get "forbidden" messages from the servers. I got them from the Pale website and from the site given by TerraNov. What's up?

Erm, what exactly is the problem?

Well, problem 1: Why does PlugChecker show so many errors and 2)Where (other than Ambrosia's EV addons page) can I d/l a more error-free version of Pale?

Again: what exactly is the problem? So what if PlugChecker shows errors, have you tried actually using the plugin? A third-party program showing errors or EV showing errors are two different things, and only one actually matters. 😉

Amen.
Plug Checker is far from infallible, though it is an invaluable tool for debugging plugs. Many of the so-called "errors" reported by Plug Checker are merely warnings that something may be wrong and should be examined closely. In fact, if you look at the detailed information Plug Checker provides, you will see that many "errors" carry the notation that "the plug will still work." If you have problems playing a plug, then using Plug Checker to locate the problem is in order, but assuming there are serious problems with a plug based solely on the number of "errors" reported by Plug Checker is silly.

Point taken. (Boy, is my face red!). I also use EV PlugIn Auditor to check to see if there are any conflicts. Well, when I began playing "Oreste" (ver. 4.1) I checked it with EV Plugin Auditor and it said all the conflicts were between the Oreste Graphics and Oreste Graphics plugs! Every single one of the conflicts were PICT files. I didn't see any problems when I played it.
