Arra'shta The Weave defence fleet protecting Arra'shta didnt stand a chance. The Blackthorne Corpoations best attack force struck quickly, and suddenly. Within the first few seconds, the Weave Beam Cruiser was an expanding cloud of debris. 7 nukes had smashed into it, obliterating it completely. The blast radius had knocked the 2 destroyers about a bit as well, the single Manta vanishing in an instant. One more nuke impacted a destroyer, crippling its shields. Then the Plasma Emitter fired out from The B.C.S. Investor and its 2 escorting corvettes, obliterating the badly damaged destroyer. Then they retargeted to the remaining destroyer. It wouldnt be long till it blew up, the 3 incoming nukes assuring its death, escape impossible.
"This is the Blackthorne Corporation to all ground forces. Surrender, and you shall be spared. Resistance will be met with heavy reprisals. Acceptance will be met with a regime similar to that you currently live under. Chairman Rivay out."
Lethe The poor defence fleet that Lethe could put up simply stood no chance when the Blackthorne Corporation ships blew in. The first volley, 3 nukes targetted on 3 corvettes, blew them to their atomised components within seconds. Then a signal began transmitting.
"Lethean ships, you are being given a chance to surrender peacefully. Doing so will ensure your citizens are fairly treated. Any attempt to stall, or resist will be met with deadly force. Be warned Nuclear weaponry is targetted on your ships. You have 60 seconds. Manager Dieter out."

OOC: I would like to say that I'll wait until Ipvicus edit his post to respond to the Battle of Antares. (edit deleted post).
Panic rained in the system of Antares. The pirates had come, and indeed, that was a scary thought to most. The few Weave soldiers that had been posted on the small colony tried to erect a barricade near their capital. The pirates came charging out of the spaceport, and then they halted out of range. The defenders wondered what was going on. Then, a huge something blotted out the sun. The defenders in unison all looked up. They saw an asteroid the size of a ship coming towards them. It hit with the impact of a cruise missile and wiped out everything near them. The more drunken pirates that had been stupid enough to venture near the defenders were killed to.
The Weave High Command had expected that some of their worlds would be taken over. To this end, each and every planet or station in a Weave held system had a group of resistance cells. These cells were extremists, taught to take out the enemy at all costs. Each cell consisted of a few well trained men. These men immediately went to the safehouses they knew of and began plotting the uprising.

On the bridge of the Endurance, Merlin Trilar distributed orders.
"Assemble into formation immediately, disengage defense fleet."
As the Calan vessels who had been pursuing the defense fleet withdrew, a last volley of missiles from the destroyers slammed into the remaining Neutron Cruiser of the defense fleet. The blast sent the two nearby interceptors over the limit that their shields could take, and they consequently were destroyed. The enormous Delta fleet approached, and the Calan fleet moved towards it as well. Two scores of fighters were released from their vessels by the Terrans, and they blazed toward the Calan ships. At this point, the Endurance revealed its knack for stopping any fighters in their tracks. Its two beam turrets and one 2 x-ray lasers sweeped over any nearby fighters, destroying and damaging many. Those who had not entered range pursued the Calan Destroyers.
With turbolaser turrets blazing in defense against terran interceptors and gunboats, the enemy's torpedos and missiles were also striking Weave ships.
"I want those missile cruisers gone!" yelled Trilar, as their fleet approached the enemy's. The Endurance's increased maneuverability allowed it to maneuver to a point where it was in a line with the two missile cruisers and a frigate. Firing with its 2 long range x-ray lasers, while effectively staying out of the range of 2 of the Terran capital ships, the modified beam cruiser began tearing through terran shields and armor. Weave fighters, with the remaining destroyers, had been engaging other Frigates. By now, the Terran's heavy weaponry had also proven deadly, destroying many of the Weave's vessels. But the damage accomplished by the Endurance's 4 lasers had been great as well.
The captain gave another order: "All vessels stay away from the neutron turrets of the neutron cruisers. Retreat from them if necessary."

Antares: Several hours after the first battle.
The victorious weave fleet had moved swifly to consolidate their rule of the Antares System. Sauridian infantry was moping up the last pockets of resistance, while the Fleet was making slow progress in the use of the planets captured outfiters to rearm their ships. Large segments of the fleet were still patroling the system on full alert, but there had been little, if any, time for rest.
The Sauridian contingent of the fleet was currently at the site of the last battle guarding the outskirts of the system while the main Weave fleet was inside the system proper rearming and refueling.
Least affected by the long hours without sleep and alert as ever the Sauridians were not overly alarmed when the ships of Theta Fleet emerged from hyperspace and moved to attack them. Tareting an individual Battle Dragon the first salvo of N-Torpedoes reduced it to flaming slag before any of the Sauridian ships were in torpedo range. When the Sauridians were in torpedo range their barrages was not quite as effective as the returning Terran one because some of them had not been able to rearm in the short tiem that had traspired. Two more individually targeted Battle Dragons, and a Terran Attack Frigate were in flame by the time the time the two fleets came within Turret range and were fully engaged. The Terran ships had managed to escape the fury of the Sauridians long range attacks mostly as a result of their much heavier armor.
When the two fleets clashed into each other one of the Terran Neutron Cruisers and two Attack Frigates formed a wedge that punched through the Sauridian formation and split the fleet into two isolated groups. While the Missile Cruisers and Gunboats skirted the flanks of the Sauridian formation and pelted the Laser Ships and Battle Dragons with concentrated salvoes of missiles the other Neutron Cruiser, Attack Frigates, and Interceptors filled out the gap between the Sauridians and pressed them into a vicious crossfire. With both groups of Sauridians pressed from both sides they were droping like flies, only the swift Laser Ships were able to escape the torpedoes, but they were not so lucky with the missiles. While they used their manuverability to great affect ther usefullness of their great speed was reduced in such a confined battle, and they were oftem mobed by many Interceptors at a time.
This slaughter could not go on forever, even now the Weave ships that had been reloading at the planet were swift approaching, and just when it looked like the Sauridians would perish to the last ship, the Terrans disengaged. Taking potshots where they could the Terrans formed up in ordered lines and waited for the united Sauridian and Weave ships to hit them. About half their ammo left, the Terrans made every shot count. Not so lucky now that their enemies had more torpedoes several terran Attack Frigates fell in this new onslaught. Losing ground quickly in the face of overwhelming numbers the Terrans were once again in retreat, but their hevily armed and shielded ships were doing quite well, their excellent training shining as they made coordinated counters to the enemy attacks.
As the Weave ships closed their lines tighter and tighter and the Terrans were bieng pressed harder and harder, the Terran Admiral played his final card. While the Weave was expecting another smaller Terran fleet to intervene, they had not expected it for at least a few hours after the first one. But the first fleet had not rushed to Antares as fast as the Weave had thought, they had first waited to meet up with the other fleet in Tau Ceti. At this moment the fresh Terran ships of Beta Fleet hypered into the system directly behind the first Terran fleet and moved immediatly to back them up. A new massive barrage of N-torpedoes and other long range weaponry hit the Weave ships as the newly arrived Beta Fleet formed up with their belagured comrades.

Regouping after the massive damage done by the enemy Beam Cruiser Beta Fleet accelerated full speed towrads the battered Weave formation. With almost a full magazine of ammunition left the Terran ships fired salvo after salvo of missiles and both types of torpedoes at the retreating Weave ships. Focusing on the last Tavora-Class Cruiser the Neutron Cruisers fired wave after wave of N-Torpedoes, soon blasting it into peices. At this range the only thing the Weave had ammunition to hit them with was the Turbolasers on the Clan Destroyers, but almost none of their fire was accurte enough to actually cause any damage. After a while the only weave capitol ships left were the Beam Cruiser Flagship and a heavily damaged Calan Destroyer.
In one last desperate attack all of them turned at once and went full speed towards Beta Fleet. As Weave ships approached volleys of missiles destroyed several fighters and inflicted more damage on both capitol ships. Opening up on on of the remaining Attack Frigates with it's two X-Ray lasers the mighty Beam Cruiser quickly reduced it's enemy to slag, the other Weave ships fared much worse. Almost their entire fleet destroyed the Weave ships finally used their superiour speed to outstrip the Terrans and retreat to the outskirts of the system.
Electing not to give chase the Terrans repaired and reamrmed what fighters they could, then formed into a defenseive formation ready to eleminate the remaining Weave ships at a distance if they were foolish enough to attack again.

The combined forces of the Sauridian and Weave fleets fought on in space. On the bridge of the W.S.S. Trimension, Admiral Sveth Nighol, knew that he was in a pickle. He quickly had the Beam Cruiser, form the point of a spear with the Escort Carriers behind him and 2 Destroyers each escorting a carrier. Together, they plunged into the middle of the fleet. While some of the crossfire (from Empire ships) accidentally hit some of the Empire ships on the other side, the majority of it hit the Beam Cruiser and Escort Carriers. However, the X-ray laser on the Beam Cruiser kept pushing back the 2 Neutron Cruisers, while the Beam Cruiser was out of range of its adversaries neutron turrets. All 6 Destroyers shot their remaining torpedoes on one of the Neutron Carriers, causing it to explode. The Escort Carriers fired volleys of 4 missiles to completely wipe out any fighter stupid enough to engage them. The mobs of fighters that had been annoying the Escort Carriers were soon totally gone. The Escort Carriers and the Beam Cruiser surrounded the stranded Neutron Cruiser, and they pummeled it with the combined might of 27 pulse turrets. Under the onslaught, the Cruiser exploded. The shock wave sent the Weave forces scattering in all directions, and damaged their shields too.
However, the effect was over, and some of the Terran forces began to fire back on the Destroyers. Three of them exploded from the massive barrages emanating from the Missile Cruisers, Neutron Cruisers, and Attack Frigates. The rest of the Destroyers were all hurt in some way. Admiral Nighol sent the one command that the rest of the fighter pilots in the fleet feared. However, they knew that they were outgunned. They began swarming one of the Neutron Cruisers. However, the Neutron Cruiser repeatedly fired it torpedoes and turrets at them. The fighters were too quick to be hit by the Neutron Torpedoes, but whenever they were hit by a neutron turrets barrage, they went spinning off only to explode. From out of nowhere, the remnants of the battered Sauridian fleet came up. They had used the time that the Weave Fleet had bought them to make repairs upon all of their ships and let their shields recharge, bringing them to about 90% combat status. The two Battle Dragons pummeled the Neutron Cruiser, and when they had brought it down to about 10%, the Battle Dragons and the Cobra, with their own shields failing fled. The fighters did the rest of the work.
They would target single vital points en masse on the Neutron Cruiser, such as the Neutron Turrets. 2 of the turrets were reduced to slag, and then the shields failed. The other Frigates of the Beta Fleet had a hard time tracking the Stingrays and Mantas, but they finally let loose a salvo of missiles that devastated the remaining fighters. With only 6 Mantas and 6 Stingrays left, the Stingrays shielded the Mantas until they hit the Neutron Cruiser. One of the Mantas hit the bridge, wiping out all personnel there, another 2 hit its engines, 2 more slammed themselves into the remaining neutron turrets, and the final one, by sheer luck, hit a magazine of ammo, triggering a massive explosion. The Stingrays all vanished in the explosion. While the fighters and Sauridian elements had been engaging the Beta Fleet , the Weave elements, without their fighters, had been engaging the Theta Fleet. The Frigates and Missile Cruisers let loose a huge volley of missiles and heavy rockets, forcing one Escort Carrier to run away, and completely destroying another 2 Destroyers. However, the Theta Fleet had more projectiles, but the Weave outgunned them significantly, since they were split up from the Beta Fleet. 1 of the Missile Cruisers exploded, a large portion of its magazine going with it. Then, the Weave fleet and Sauridian fleet turned to run into hyperspace while the Terrans took last grazing shots at them. One of the Frigates broke through the weakest Escort Carriers shields, and the end result was that there was massive amounts of scoring on the armor.

President Vaten, we have lost the Antares system. We destroyed the defense fleet easily, but in the battle of wits, I believe I am the loser. The Terrans reinforced the system with two fleets, and this had unforeseen consequences. We severely damaged both reinforcement fleets, though we suffered heavy damage ourselves. The Sauridian fleet is broken, and both of our fleets head home to replenish their arms.

Please begin the production of 26 Stingrays and 24 Mantas. I understand that the cost of replacing these fighters was included when we paid for these ships. Also, please stand by with resupply ships and armor repair teams. We are coming home.

When the Weave Fleet returned to the Tiber system, the repair teams welded on new blocks of armor and began the transfer or fighters to the Escort Carriers. Due to the gargantuan facilities of the Tiber Shipyards, the all ships had their fighters back within 8 hours, and their ordinance was restocked within 10, and armor replacement done within 12. The Sauridians would likewise be preparing for the Terrans, and they too had completed rearming within only 6 hours.

Arra'shta With the destruction of the Weave fleet, and the capture of the planet, the Blackthorne Corporation now ruled the system. The Tyrants had been resupplied with nukes, and reports from other systems meant the fleet was not going to stay still now.
Propus Without a warning, 7 Nukes smashed into the Weave Beam Cruiser, obliterating it from space, the shockwave tearing the manta to pieces. A single other nuke hit a destroyer, heavily damaging it. And as the Weave ships targetted the Corporation ships that had entered, another volley of nukes had gone off, spelling doom for them already. They couldnt shake the nukes off, nor could they get close enough to the Corporations ships in time to have the blast radius effect them. The simple fact was that a Weave colony defence fleet was just too weak to face the power of the Corporation.

Lethe A transmission came from one of the remaining corvettes of the Lethean Defence Fleet. An unhappy looking face appeared on the viewscreen infront of Manager Dieter.
"My government has ordered me to surrender and stand down. No further resistance will be supplied by the Lethean people. We are prepared to allow boarding crews onto our ships. Captain Telmat out."
Manager Dieter smiled and turned to his assistant. "Send corvettes forward to dock and take the crews into custody. Have ships land and begin securing Government and Industrial complexes. Bring up the supply ships to rearm the Tyrants." His assistant nodded and went to see that the orders were carried out.

I'd also suggest that your capital vessels are damaged somewhat, and you lost a few fighters. I know the maths we went over, specops, but the enemy did have their own missiles.

Penguin Sends the 2 escourt caryers to attack the neutron cruiser and to saty out of his neutron wepon range. The Escoutr carryers launch their fighters and They fire missles at him (50%) then goes in for the kill with lazers after awhile it is distroyed Damangeing the missle cruiser (40%) when it came out with the fighters. Bob tells the escourt carrers to resuply their fighters. Bob commands the Hunnsta warships to attack the missle cruiser. the fighters dock on the escourt carryer and get repaired and they are sent out to attack the fighters. So, intelligence indicated that there was a build up of entertainment attached to the military on the planet of Rigel. Also, apparently military grade food was ordered on Rigel. This means only one thing Nighol thought to himself. There's obviously a fleet at Rigel. He quickly powered up his communications terminal.

I suggest that you make a strike at the Rigel system. Intelligence suggests that there is a fleet there. If at all possible, take out the fleet stationed there, not the defense fleet. Repeat, focus all power solely on the fleet stationed there, the defense fleet is worthless.

OOC: It's a running argument I have with Ipvicus. He wants people to pay for fighters, but not for munitions...even nuclear rockets. He seems to ignore that the cost to rearm the entire pirate fleet with nuclear rockets - alone, not including other munitions - is more than you spent on fighters. I'll confess, the figure I came him earlier (134.25M) just before I signed off was wrong, as I used .75 somewhere instead of .175, but it still comes to more than 31.5M, especially considering the earlier figure only counted nuclear rockets.

Propus Chairman Rivay looked over the reports from the capture of Propus. Things had gone well indeed. The planet was secure, with far less resistance than the fools in Arra'shta had given. Then the battle alarm went off. Turning to his monitor, Rivay selected external sensors and saw a Hunn'sta fleet. It had taken rather sever damage by the sensor reports. Another nuke each smashed into 3 of the destroyers, obliterating them, their damaged shields being unable to hold the blast wave off.
Left, a single Weave Beam Cruiser, and 3 damaged Hunn'sta destroyers. And it looked like they hadnt been expecting the Pirate fleet to be here.
And already plasma emitters slammed into the damaged destroyers, keen on obliterating them. And in a few seconds, enough nukes would impact the Beam Cruiser to annihilate it.
It was a bad time for the Hunn'sta really.
