Basilisk II emulator problem!

I had to completely restore my PC to "factory fresh" and thus lost all my EV/O files as well as my working emulator. I d/l'ed...and followed everything on the tutorial and now all I get is a warning box telling me that "cdenable.sys" is missing (just where is it supposed to be?) and after that, it boots up and all I see is a pict of a 3.5" floppy disk with a blinking question mark on it. What's up? How do I resolve this?

The cd enable error doesn't mean anything, I get it every time and it boots up fine, and the CD drive works. I don't think that is related to your problem. Other than that, I'd check to see if you've configured your startup disk, or if you have accidentally unmounted it.

The tutorial doesn't actually say what to do with the "Starterdisk," so I did the same as I did with the "HFV Explorer" (opened/File/Format New Volume/.../renamed to Starterdisk.hfv/moved to "Installed Disks"). Did I do right or should I go back and just rename Starterdisk to .hfv?

No, what you just did was create a blank drive, you actually have to download the starter disk with the OS on it. Do a search and try to find warbeast's topic about this, he provides all the files
