Yeah, but most of those people leaving, with the execption of Skyblade, were never big into webstories. I think I will send emails to some of the webstory goers I saw in that thread that said they didn't have anywhere to go this summer.

So here is the list of players as it stands right now:
Terran Star Empire Chairman Peter Mal (General Rak) Wing Commander Jager (Jager)
Weave Alliance (and subgroups) No Players yet.
Evildrome/New Antigua Confederacy Supreme Warlord Vehn Dorja (Vice Admiral Ipvicus) Fleet Commander Firestorm (firestorm)
The Unnamed Pirate Faction Consisting of Pirate's Cove/Privateer's Haven and Darven No Players yet.
I'll Be Weave. More to come later, after next week. Until then I am very busy

Probably not for about two weeks. A friend of mine has agreed to do most of the work on it, but I will be away most of the time for the next two weeks, and therefore unable to upload it.
It will however be worth the wait. This map will will show everything from the system ownership to navigational hazards. That's another thing that will be unique to this webstory, battles will take things like sensor interferance and asteroids into consideration.

I see. Is there any rough estimate of Terran income?
Oh, and why was the following clause put in the rules? Seems a bit ristrictive (in relation to government organization).

As it happens I worked out the initial income of all the factions late last night.
Initial Fleet Allowances: Terran Star Empire: $300M Weave Alliance: $100M (Total $320M) Brox: $55M Hunn'sta: $45M Calan: $55M Sauridians: $65M Each Pirate Faction: $180M
As you can see the Weave Alliance has a small advantage over the Terrans in the number of ships it can field at the begining. This is offset however by the System Tax Income:
System Tax Income: Terran Star Empire: $390M Weave Alliance (combined): $350M Pirate Confederacy: $40M Other Pirates: $60M
Since I don't have the map out yet I'll pretty much give you the breakdown on how the income got the way it is.
System Breakdown: Terran Star Empire: 24 Systems (6 Core, 17 Colony, 1 Capitol: Sol=100M) Weave Alliance (combined): 29 Systems (5 Capitol, 1 Core, 23 Colony) Pirate Confederacy: 2 Systems (1 Capitol, 1 Core) Other Pirates: 3 Systems (1 Capitol, 2 Core)

Thanks.

Battle Group Two: Commander: Marshal Thomas 1 Dreadnought (TNV Executor): 22M 6 Neutron Cruisers: 57.6M 3 Attack Frigates: 12M Total: 91.6M
Battle Group Three: Commander: Marshal Sarek 1 Heavy Cruiser (TNV Enterprise): 12.4M 6 Missile Cruisers: 48M 7 Attack Frigates: 28M Total: 88.4M
Fighter Squadron One: Commander: Admiral Jager 1 Missile Cruiser (TNV Excelsior): 8M 20 P-36Ős: 9.2M 15 G-56Ős: 8.4M Total: 25.6M

Wow. That 300 million buys more than one might think.

All Good, except for that. I take it you meant to put 3 Missile Cruisers there :).

Yep. Sorry about that, my error.
Ummmm,
I'm a bloddy WING COMMANDER I have a personal fighter, several (10 at most) wingmen with me, no cruisers.... My character is part of a fleet...

Then you'll be attached to a fleet, and your character only have control over the amount of fighters you want. However, you will have control over the entire fighter detachment.
Then why do I have a missle thingie
Originally posted by Jager: Then why do I have a missle thingie
That is to support your fighter detachment. Your character does not control it, but you (the player) do.
OH
Well, so far I'm the only Weave, so I guess I'll have to wait for someone else before ships are decided... However, here's my flagship: the W.S.S Death Prophet Shield: 9200(+1200) Armor: 1000(+400) Speed: 255(+50) Accel: 400 Weapons: 4 Neutron Turrets 5 Neutron Blasters 2 Torpedo Launchers + 25 Torpedoes 4 F-40W Stingray heavy fighters 1 High-Energy X-Ray Laser

Well I guess I'll give it a go, even with driver's ed, tennis, work...
I think I'll take a position as a part of the Weave, preferably Calan. My flagship? I have no idea, I'll get back to you on that.
A question, if there is a commander for each of the Weave nations, wouldn't that already make 4 players? It would take a lot for one faction to be represented by more than one player. But as for now, I'll be the whatever of Calan.
On a side note, I just downloaded the first segment of the Empire series, but am having trouble transferring it between my internet capable pc to my relatively old mac. The mac won't recognize the cd-rw that I used to put the .sea Empire file on. I pop it in, and no cd icon pops up. Any ideas on why this might be?

Did you open the file on the PC? Did your download app tamper with the file?
