I'll start with the Announcement. Here in a few weeks I will be starting a new webstory based on the plot of the EMPIRE plugs. I am still working on alot of the details but I can safely say that this Webstory will feature the governments, ships and tech from EMPIRE: A War Without End, a new system for moderating the story, as well as one for researching ships and technology. I'm not quite sure yet but I will probably come up with a new system for industrial production too. Hopefully with these changes we can avoid the problems that past webstories in this forum have had.
Now, the plea for help. In making a website for this story I have run into a couple of problems, the biggest of which has been finding shipyard pics for many of the EMPIRE: A War Without End ships. I know that most of these pics were taken from generic shipyards, but so far I have only been able to locate a few of the ships I need. If anyone can tell me where I can find the Weave, Terran Empire, Brox, and Sauridian ships used in the plug I would really appreciate it(or if anyone knows how to convert the PICT files used by the jame into .jpg or .gif that would be great as well).
If anyone has any questions, comments, or advice, please send me an email at matrekie@aol.com.

All you need to do is go to (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/empire_trilogy")www.geocities.com/empire_trilogy(/url) and DL EMPIRE: A War Without END. I would however like to know how to convert the PICTs to .gif or .jpg for future use.
What you have to do is to extract the graphics you want by opening the plug in EV-Edit (better make a copy before you attempt this, it could ruin your plug) and exporting the sprites. Then open your sprites in Photoshop, go to 'save as' in the file menu. It should let you choose which format to save it in.

Alternatively, you could open the plug using ResEdit, copy the image you want, then paste it into a blank GraphicConverter document. Save it in whatever format you choose. Then rinse and repeat until you have all the images you need.

Also you could do this in photoshop...

GraphicConverter is shareware, and pretty easy to use. You can get it at (url="http://"http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=graphicconverter&tg;=dl-2003")MacDownload(/url).
