I have a mac and the option key has 'alt' on it. And somebody really should move this to the EVN board.

Unless you're using some weird third-party keyboard, 'alt' is written in smaller letters .It refers only to use with PC emulators and the like. The key itself when used on a Macintosh is called Option.
Oh, and by the way, it's not called the Apple key either; it's called the Command key. The Apple logo on the key is left over from the days when keyboards were interchangeable between Macintoshes and Apple IIs, which did have an Apple key.
