Whom do you believe are the best science fiction writers? Whom are your personal favorites? Which sf books do you believe to be the best? Which are your personal favorites? I'll tell ya mine later!
Thanks! Ace

Oh! I'm glad somebody brought this up. While you're considering your answers to CAH's topic would you also help me?
The very first science fiction book I ever read was terrific -- and I cannot find it anywhere. (Trouble is, I'm not sure I even have the correct name.)
I thought it was called "The Overlords" but I guess not. It was (pretty typically) about an advanced race which was sort of taking over Earth. (I wish I could remember more ... but that's why I'm looking for it.)
Any ideas??? Thanks.

Favorite sci-fi book? Probably "The Mote in God's Eye".
I see in iMove to B&B; in the near future.

Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels are my personal favorites, with all other SW novels, especially those by Micheal A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston.
BTW, this is probably better suited to Just Chat...

Sounds like a good one, KK! It might help if you can remember who wrote it or the name of the hero/main character or even the publishing date/publisher. I've already looked on Google for "The Overlords" and you wouldn't believe the number of results I got back. Lots of links to a game by that name.

Thanks for the responses, guys! These sound like good reads. You're right, MacAvenger, this is a better topic for Just Chat. Wish I had put it there, now.

Although I really don't read much Sci-Fi, my personal favorite Sci-Fi author would have to be Eric Nylund.

Although I do read alot of sci-fi literature, I can't claim to really have a favorite author or book. My preferences lead towards fantasy. My favorite book would have to be Running With The Demon, by my favorite author, Terry Brooks.
As far as Sci-Fi goes, I've read just about every Star Wars book known to man, a few of the Star Trek novels, a few classics like The Time Machine, 2001, and planet of the apes.
Okay. I retract my previous statement. My favorite Sci-Fi book would have to be Bladerunner by Alan Edward Nourse. Based off the movie of course but, amazingly enough, better than it's big-screen counterpart.
I agree. This topic is better for the just chat section. However, I'm glad it's here because I've never been in the just chat section and never intend to go there.

I wonder if we could get it moved to the Just Chat section? I better write to a mod. and see. As for going to the Just Chat section, I haven't been there yet, but I think I'll check it out. I'll let ya know what I find out, Low-Key, alright?
iMove.
