It is - he may not have done enough damage! Those Prowlers had over 300 gravatic space bombs, 400 heavy rockets, and 100 proton cannons onboard. You go buy 40 gravitic space bomb launchers and 300 bombs and see how much damage you can do. I think that with the amount of firepower those Prowlers are packing, they could definitely do that much damage and more.

It is one consideration - I used the old kestrel's mass and tacked on the amount of tons the added weapons amounted to.

I think I explained perfectly how my small force took out so many ships, but I will do so again. First of all Prowlers are extremely fast... the only ships that can outmaneuver them are the Mantas, and I accounted for that. Second, I realize that in a normal battle my force would be surrounded and destroyed. This however was not a normal battle, Jakazi force was selected specificly with the task of making a suicide attack on Rebel capital ships. Third, maybe you didn't notice but the Prowler has the heaviest ordinance load of any ship currently in action, I see no reason why the prowler wouldn't be able to get up close with a Rebel Cruiser and unload four space bombs... especially if said Prowler is on a suicide mission.

GR how many credits does it take for 1 unit of shields? I want to boost the Artemis' shields until the cost is as close to 4 M without going over 4 M as possible.

I doubt this will be a valid entry, considering it appears to break a number of rules that I've assumed were in place. 'New weapons' would constitute research.. and a frigate wouldn't hold 300 bomb racks let alone 600 bombs any day. Plus only Pirates can capture I believe.
